Total pill pusher, doesn't listen to patient after the first few visits, even in person. He often forgets what he prescribed you, doesn't update his documents, and forgets to send prescriptions through. Obsessed with education and prestige, never asks about symptoms.I ended up with severe antidepressant discontinuation syndrome after he fumbled a simple refill, which I am still struggling to recover from after switching to a safer medication. His assistant assured me it was due to external factors, despite seeing my order online waiting for authorization from him.He also prescribed a younger family member with ADHD on SEVERAL anti-psychotics that made them a walking zombie for a year. Avoid this man entirely.

The Banality of indifference
I've been a patient for going on a year. At first the staff was attentive and polite. Lately I've had an issue with my medicine being called in to the pharmacy. My appointments are a week out from the refill date. 3 days before the date I tried to reach the office. I called, no answer. I left vm, no answer. I emailed, no answer... Until I left a strongly worded email explaining that when there was an issue with billing I exchanged 14 (yes 14) emails trying to correct the problem. I was and am always polite (well usually, we are all human). I answered every email promptly. I am not abusing my medication. I can pass any drug test, blood, follicle, nail... I'm a client in good standing. Yet during the most stressful time in my life, I'm ignored by the professional I hired to help me. The only one one staff with the decency to act like I existed was Tracey in billing. At this point I'm done being treated like some kind of addict for daring to ask for meds HE prescribed me.

I find Dr. Rao to be as air headed as I can be due to my ADHD. He is my son’s doctor and we’ve had a difficult time with Dr. Rao being dependable. Right now my son is unmedicated because Dr. Rao has failed to call his Rx into the pharmacy from our visit that was 1.5 weeks ago. I’ve called everyday since...and still nothing. He knows that it’s dangerous to abruptly stop this medication. I’ve very frustrated!

I would not advise anyone to see Dr. Rao. All he did was over medicated me and I almost lost my life. The medican he proscribed maid me lose my muscle mass all over my body. I also lost most of my hair and even memory lost. Then I had to be hospitalized for 10 days. When I came home I had to have help all the time. I thank God that I am doing much better

Was not doing well @ all. Rao wouldn't let me come in until scheduled apt. Doesn't listen. Compares mental problems to those of physical. Seems to have no understanding of mental health issues. Doesn't do disability or Dr. excuses. Says one thing & does another. For those having mental issues this is the exact enviroment that exaserbates those problems. Because of my experience I'm at the point of giving up on the mental health community.

I tried to give this place this place a chance, but this is the place that you don't want to go to. I paid for my session to see Dr. Rao and got shooed away after 20 minutes. He is a unprofessional, nonchalant, apathetic psychiatrist that should not be practicing. Worst experience ever.

My husband can NEVER get through and I just finally got a human to pick up the phone who was the rudest most disagreeable person I have ever encountered. I called in desperation because my husband is having trouble and Dr Rao is his doctor. I was told that Dr Rao would not see him before his scheduled appointment in two weeks, that I should take him to the hospital. This sounds like it would be good advice except I explained he was just discharged from the hospital to Dr Rao's care. INFURIATING
