Grateful for Dr. Kassan
I have been a patient of Dr. Kassan’s for nearly 30 years. He has guided my health decisions with both intellect and integrity. He is not your run-of-the-mill doctor, that’s for sure, and for that, you can thank your lucky stars you have the PRIVILEGE of his time and care. Please notice as you read these reviews that when there are less than 5 stars, it is due to time management and administration issues. I agree those have been problematic in the past , but it is my hope that with his move to National Jewish, they will improve. My word to the wise is no matter the time delay, if one still exists, take responsibility for your “free” time and bring something to occupy yourself waiting for your appointment. Dr. Kassan is WORTH it. You will not find a more gifted, compassionate or TOP DOC in his field anywhere! Thank you, Dr. Kassan, for all you do for so many…In health and gratitude!

Wait Time ~ Worth Every Second of it!
Dr. Kassan is the first doctor I have visited that takes time to listen to my story, not "just" look at my lab results. Dr. Kassan found pieces of my puzzle that in combination told a different story than individual test results could relay. He ordered further tests and verified by referring me to some other specialists. I could not be happier with the care, and continued care Dr. Kassan provide. Yes, there sometimes is a long wait time ~ is it worth it? A million times over. I have had the same symptoms for 40 years ... doesn't compare to, sometimes, an extended wait time for a beyond amazing doctor. 40 years or an extra hour plus in the doctor's waiting room is an easy choice for me :)

Absolutely horrible, the medical assistants there are so unprofessional. I think her name is Lauren and let me tell you. All this lady does is sit on her phone and yell at it. I used to love one of the ladies that worked there with the long hair was always so compassionate about her job. So sad not to see her anymore. Also, the manager is not the greatest kind of rude. Dr.Kassan seems to not care about my issues as well. Do not recommend.

First of all, the wait is horrendous. I feel bad for the girls at the front who have to listen to people complain all the time. Second, when you finally get back to a room to wait for another 3 hours, one girl is ALWAYS screaming at who I assume are her children through the phone. This happens every time I have an appointment. Do you not have a manager to deal with this? Does Dr Kassan not notice? It's embarrassing and completely unprofessional. There is always someone new when I come so I wonder how high the turnover is. Fortunately, Dr Kassan does take the time to listen to my issues and I feel like he has helped so much. Otherwise I wouldn't come back.

If your appointment is at 9, you WILL wait to be seen until 11 at the VERY earliest. They have pagers for you to leave and come back if you would like, but what doctor's office has pagers?? Funny enough, once you're taken back, Dr. Kassan still won't actually see you for another 30-60 minutes. My visits with him have been extremely brief as he refuses to actually explain any of what he's doing or what he thinks may be going on beyond "here's some pamphlets". He asks for what's new (which he often disregards) and then the rest of the appointment has nothing to do with my health. On multiple occasions he has spent well over 15 of the 20ish minutes he was actually in the room with me asking about my home life. What???? Cherry on top is when I was rapidly losing weight and he ignored my explanation and went as far as to REFUSE to continue treating me unless he could speak with my mother (I'm a legal adult?) and get me into a psychiatrist for my "eating disorder". Extremely negligent.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Rude and unprofessional are the only words I can think of to describe this clinic. Dr. Kassan or whoever is in charge is much too busy or they don’t care enough about patients to be available for answering phones, scheduling appointments, seeing appointments.. anything! My appointment has been cancelled the day before THREE TIMES IN A ROW now because the doctor “will suddenly be out of town for the rest of the week.” I’m trying to see Dr. Kassan from 3hrs away and they cancel my appointment the day before? Three times?! I have to plan for this in my schedule! I work in the medical field so I understand how busy offices can be, but this is unacceptable, rude and unprofessional. Definitely NOT how a doctors office should operate. I understand family emergencies coming up, etc but not three times in a row. Meanwhile his patients, like me, are living life with constant pain wondering and trying to figure out if they have an autoimmune disease or not and what to do about i

Dr. Kassala has been unlike any other doctor that I have been to over the last 20 years. He was able to diagnose me and put me on the right track towards feeling better as different issues have come up. He takes the time necessary to do this with his patients.

Wait times can be long, but....literally after 10 years of going from rheumatologist to rheumatologist to have them tell me nothing was wrong, Dr. Kassan figured it out within 3 months and helped me IMMENSELY! People come from as far away as Australia to see him. I have been seeing him for over 5 years now, and can't recommend him enough.

The wait is too long and if you have to leave for any reason (like to pick up children from school) they won't see you. After waiting 2 hours, I had to pick up kids. We talked about rescheduling or just coming back. I decided to just come back and when I did, they were upset that I left. Not everyone can find childcare for the ENTIRE DAY.

Be careful going to see Dr. Kassan. After paying his bill in full, they still tried to charge me more money. He saw me once and never even called me to give me the blood results. He is completely 100% after money. The billing company he works for will continue to charge you even after you pay your bills in full. I spoke to an agent and they told me the reminder amount which I gave, then they sent me another bill. I also paid them another payment which they didn't even credit me for, money.

Do not engage the help of this office unless you are willing to sit for hours-over two every visit. I am not exaggerating. I never left that office in under 3 hours for a monthly check-up. I know that Dr. Kassan has a lot of experience and is very understanding and compassionate, That doesn't excuse the immoral practice of holding his patients hostage for half a day just to get a chance to visit with him. I highly recommend staying away from this poorly run practice.

I have been seeing Dr Kassan for around 16 years. I find it very easy to give Dr Kassan 5 stars for the way he explains things and his attention to details. Dr Kassan has referred me to many specialists and each time I am led to another excellent Dr! I'm always amazed at the way these Drs communicate with each other. My friend, Tempa recommended Dr Kassan to me. Thank you, Tempa! I'm still alive, I thank Dr Kassan for that!

I have a very rare mutation of Ehlers Danlos and most doctors have little knowledge of it. Dr Kassan and his staff have been able to explain so much to me about it and help as best they can to get me treatments and help. Just keep in mind that after your first appointment with the Dr you need to be seen by his assistant if you want to be seen in a timely fashion.
