Condescending and severely outdated, Zell was extremely unprofessional, patriarchal, and ill-equipped. He didn't address ANY of the medical needs I came in for; didn't even glance at my chart. He spoke in an extremely patronizing tone when lecturing me on a medication he wasn't 100% sure I needed, but was all-too eager to run his mouth, not asking a single question. He was excessively rude to the Resident; "Don't talk when I'm talking, remember?" he barked at her. From what I experienced, Zell is the exact product of stereotypical Boomer education; received in the 50's for the price of a McChicken Sandwich, can't see or understand a paradigm outside of his own, let alone understanding various socio-economic backgrounds and their subsequent access to healthcare. Thank goodness Drs like these are on their way out and being replaced with relevant, competent doctors who listen to their individual patients' needs rather than reciting some generalized spiel given a thousand times over.
