My wife and I are so happy we found Dr Young. Everything went smoothly even though the office was going through a move to their new offices. Fairly quick process from the initial call to my Open Umbilical Hernia surgery and post-op visit. Dr Young was very thorough and professional at the visit. He confirmed the need for surgery and checked surrounding area as well. Shout out to Aspen surgery center at the Ygnacio John Muir location for the caring and efficient service. The healing took around 2 weeks as planned with very little pain. I had the follow up visit with NP Rachel and she was outstanding and helpful. She answered all my questions. I highly recommend Dr Young and team!

Dr. Young is both extremely capable and Vera warm and caring. My robotic ventral abdominal hernia procedure went without a hitch, and the recovery was uneventful. I would very highly recommend Dr. Young.

Very professional

I have been blessed to have met Dr. Young for my procedure. From the start at my first consultation visit to the day of my procedure, and at my follow-up visit, Dr. Young took his time to address all my concerns. Never once did Dr. Young left me feel anxious in anticipating of the procedure, and its outcome. On the day of the procedure itself, he stop by to assure me that I am in good hands, not only with him but also with his team of anesthesiologist, nurses, and techs. For once in my life, I went under the knife yet feeling totally confident in Dr. Young expertise and my faith was further reinforced with his team attentiveness to my care. Of course, one does not ever want to go under the knife of any surgeon at anytime in their life, but let me tell you this: God forbid, if ever I have to go through another procedure and for whatever reason, I will neither change Dr. Young, nor his team, nor the Aspen Surgery Center in Walnut Creek, CA where I had my procedure done on Jan 4, 2024.

Dr. Young provided excellent hernia care, from the initial diagnostic assessment which included in-office ultrasound, to the robot-assisted surgery performed at Aspen Surgery Center in Walnut Creek. He discovered two additional unsuspected hernias during the operation, and closed them all with mesh. The postop period was surprisingly easy, without any need for narcotics. Very pleasant and professional doctor and nursing staff. I would give this practice my highest recommendation.

While most surgeries can create a large amount of concern and worry, Dr. Young dispelled any concerns I may have had. He was calm and relaxed and put me at ease. Surgery was successful and painless. Would highly recommend Dr. Young!

I recently had surgery, and I appreciated Dr. Young’s explanation of everything that was to occur, his bedside manner the day of the surgery, and then during the follow-up appointment. Surgery naturally can raise a bit of apprehension. However, the whole process of interacting with his office and then going through the surgery was easier than I had envisioned.

Dr. Young has a well-deserved reputation as a technically superb and compassionate surgeon. He repaired an inguinal and umbilical hernia with the assistance of the DaVinci robot. I had an outstanding outcome! The entire staff in Dr Young’s office reflects the same caring and compassionate philosophy. Although no one wants surgery, Dr Young and his office made the experience as positive as possible.

I went to john muir Wc emergency due to gallstones pain, a few hours later they told me that I needed emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder, I got really scared and nervous since it was my first time getting surgery and all i thought of was my 15 month old baby. But then Dr Young who did a phenomenal job on my surgery came in and spoke very clearly about the procedure and all the information that I needed to know. After speaking to him he made me feel better and safe. I don't have words to explain how thankful I am for everything that Dr Young and all his team did for me. Dr. Young is very friendly and has been very patient with my numerous questions. His answers are clear and understandable to me. I recovered from surgery as expected and have not experienced pain or side effects that are unexpected post surgery. I have no reservation referring Dr. Young to patients with inguinal hernia.

Dr. Young literally changed my life. I went to see him with a very nasty open wound on my head, that had been there for 3 months after a car accident. I had seen many doctors before him and the wound was not improving. I was really depressed!! In 3 weeks of treatments with him, it is totally healed!! Not only he is really talented, but, the level of caring that he and his assistant gave me all this time, was really wonderful. I will always be very grateful to him.
