Dr Wener is a great doctor. Been seeing him for years and he’s amazing at what he does. He’s a down to earth guy who doesn’t bs. Straight to the point but he will take the time to listen to more complex issues. Never feel like I’m rushed. Sometimes appointment start time is a little behind but I just contribute that to him being a genuinely good doctor who listens to people. He also is very humble. He’ll admit if he doesn’t know something and will refer to an expert depending on what’s going on. Never had an issue. I would recommend Dr. Wener to anyone I know looking for a PC.

Had one thing on his mind....
I told him about a large mass on head, discussed my recent cancer diagnosis, told of lump in throat, recent dizziness, recent humming in my head and that I've slowly been losing weight over the past few years finally (in a good way). Only outcome - gave me weight loss surgery recommendations. He did not care that I said no - it is the only thing he was interested in. Nothing I said would have given him any pause. Told him of my fear of doctors and he def made it worse. He cut me off when speaking and generally very unpleasant to deal with.

Best doctor I've ever seen!
Great! I had an unusual complaint (my wife told me my head was shaped like a peanut!) He didn't laugh at me and listened intently and reassured me. I've had lots of 'bad conversations' with MD's before but not this time.

Dr seems irritated.
Dr Wener is a good doctor, but his bedside manner is terrible. He doesn't smile and seems irritated like he doesn't want to be there. Asked questions fast and cuts me off while answering.

Do Not Recommend
I wouldn't recommend this doctor to scoop poop. He didn't address any of my issues and made me feel as if what I was reporting to him meant nothing. No referral, no sound advice, no compassion! I left his office just as lost as when I went in. His nurses are absolutely AMAZING though.

Went to see him for allergy issues. Regular OTC was no longer helping keep my allergies and asthma at bay. He suggested not having pets in the future, to "try to avoid allergens," and to vacuum more, like I haven't lived my whole life with allergies and asthma and the knowledge how to manage both. Definitely felt that I was not being listened to and that my 30+ history of managing my own allergies and asthma meant nothing to him. That was the gist of the visit. No referral to an allergy specialist or anything. I found an allergy specialist on my own dime and time and got listened to and taken care of. I should have just skipped this visit and gone straight to the allergy specialist.

My husband and I visited Dr. Wener several times after the retirement of our former internist. On more than one visit, I had a wait time of more than an hour. Then when Dr. Wener finally entered the examination room, he seemed rushed. He frequently responded to my statements very abruptly as one would when scolding a child. The last time my husband saw him, Dr. Wener was in the examination room a maximum of 3 minutes, and the summary report provided to my husband indicated that 8 issues had been addressed in the appointment. My husband recalls that three of those issues had not been mentioned.

Dr. Wener is very knowledgeable and spends the amount of time necessary to make diagnosis. I have never had very long wait times, and have had no problems getting an appointment when I needed to see him. Great doctor!

My first visit with Dr. Wener today 1/23/17. I was very impressed by Dr. Wener he took the time to listen to me and my list of ailments. My health history is complicated involving a liver transplant. Needless to say I need a quality Internal Medicine Doctor to look out after me and I found one. His staff is very impressive as well. Great follow thru and very friendly, they get it. John Keim
