Very concerned Dr. Listened and advised.
2013 did the procedures with out pain. He listened, offered support, answered all my questions, gave diet advice, what pros and cons of having an endoscopy and colonoscopy would offer. Encouraged me to make an appointment as I chickened out before. The staff at Duke Regional were professional and ethical. Great preoperative and postoperative care. I need to schedule another appt with him so have him contact me about a concern I had and didn't follow up a couple years a go, about a different swallow issue. As a former nurse, yes he is a good doctor.

Colonoscopy
I had a colonoscopy at Carilion in Radford Va and Dr Solik and his staff were outstanding. He did not rush, explained the procedure clearly, answered all of my questions and was quite funny in the process. Not that I enjoyed my colonoscopy but he was really competent and joked around which I appreciated. Would highly recommend.

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Solik as he takes the time to listen and discuss all health issues that may be related to GI problems. He thinks outside the box and comes up with solutions that other physicians have not thought of to help my pain. I highly recommend Dr. Solik. July 23, 2019

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Solik?
Dr. Solik was not rushed, took time to introduce himself and the procedure. He clearly explained how things would be handled differently and carefully knowing co-existing health conditions and risk factors for my spouse. however the examination & procedure environment does not offer enough privacy to the patients. Everyone is able to hear conversations & directions give to other patients including passing gas & needing to use the bathroom & the medical staff's loud & personal conversations

My survey is for the entire experience at the Triangle Endoscopy Center. Receptionists: Check in was smooth The nurse who called us back was all business and not patient or family focused. The check in process in the back was one of a cattle call. Pre-procedure nurses spent 5-8 min and then never came back or made eye contact. They did leave a nice warm blanket. The procedure nurse Kathy was kind. The recovery nurses Barbara & Mary were wonderful and the opposite of the pre-procedure care.
