Horrible service
4 hours for an eye exam is ridiculous. Dr Silverstein comes in and talks to you for about 5 minutes. He has a big ego and rushes the appt. Wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.

Horrible!!!!
I seem Dr. Silverstein for 4 years. He diagnosed me with glaucoma when I was 31, told me I failed my field vision tests, over and over told me I’d eventually go blind even! I’d spend hours in his office every 6 months only to see him rush in at the end of my visit, spend 3-5 mins telling me how I’d go blind, or trying to get me to sign up for a medical study he was performing. After missing an appt I never knew I had I found a different doctor, told him how I was diagnosed with glaucoma, he tested me and told me I have a rather large optic nerve but NOTHING indicated I had glaucoma. Had another appointment today with the same practice but a different doctor and was told once again no glaucoma or signs of it!! When Dr. Silverstein was treating me for 4 years for it!! Even telling me I had damage to my vision and I’d go blind!!!! Beware!! You’re only a paycheck to him not a patient!!!

Our experience with Dr. Silverstein has been less that acceptable. My wife had cataract surgery on both eyes in May 2021. we were told it would be $1500.00 total. we just received a bill for $700.00 and were told it was $1500.00 per eye. Her first surgery left her with an abrasion which she is still suffering from. She also now has dry eye which she didn't have before the surgery. I would not recommend Dr. Silverstein to anyone.

This was the worst doctor’s experience I have ever had. I left there feeling like I was nearly assaulted, in compete tears. You do not matter to them - you are a part in their factory. I have been dealing with a concerning eye issue for months. HE DID NOT ASK ME ABOUT WHY I WAS THERE. He said, see you in a year, after looking at me for one minute total. I am in the healthcare field myself and I am in absolute shock. I have been desperately waiting for his professional opinion on what’s going on and he didn’t even mention my concern. He laughed at my questions. In this day in age you tell your patient everything you’re doing, and you ASK before you touch them. They did not explain anything they were doing to me and dilated my eyes without alerting me first. As a future nurse, I will use Dr. Silverstein as the exact opposite of what to be when caring for patients. A complete scheme for my money to get LASIK. Sad thing is, I want LASIK but I sure as HELL am not coming here. STAY FAR AWAY

My wife lost 85% of her vision My 59 year old spouse lost 85% of her central vision in her right eye after cataract surgery with Dr. Silverstein. Prior to the surgery, she had never worn glasses and had no issues but she was told that she needed surgery. She was then pressured to get premium lenses and forcefully told by the lady who scheduled the surgery, "You are legally blind and shouldn't be driving!" This was a lie, with her vision at 20/50. On the day of surgery my wife told the staff there was a problem with her eye. At all of the follow-up examinations she told Dr. Lookhart, that her vision was "Wonky" and that something wasn't right. I have since learned that this was anything but normal. On the evening one week after the surgery she noticed bands across her vision. She was tested and told that she had lost 85% of her vision in the eye and had suffered a "Optic Neuropathy" and the vision would not return. Too much to cover in 1,000 characters but I would steer way clear!

horrible and I am not going to go get a second test because your nurse could not do it correctly! And I was not provided eye protection upon leaving after my dilations! They want to do another test..sorry as I will never return there! The front office is beyond rude! I was a medical office manager at one time. Your office is beyond rude up front! Are you needing the extra money now Dr's? Not from me!

My 59 year old spouse lost 85% of her central vision in her right eye after cataract surgery with Dr. Silverstein. Prior to the surgery, she had never worn glasses and had no issues but she was told that she needed surgery. We now seriously question if the surgery was even needed? She was pressured to get premium lenses and forcefully told by the lady who scheduled the surgery, "You are legally blind and shouldn't be driving!" This was a lie, with her vision at 20/50. At meetings with the follow-up Optometrist, she told him that something was wrong. In each case, she was ignored and told that all was normal. On the 7th day, she lost 85% of the vision in her eye and THEN, the doctor would listen. They had her come in immediately! Eight months later, she still cries uncontrollably. According to other doctors, this could have been different if they had only listened and looked closer. I would seriously investigate other options or at least question everything! Its all about $!

Dr Silverstein encouraged me to have cataract surgery with premium lenses at an out of pocket cost to me of $6400 -over and above what Medicare and United Health Care paid him - saying I would no longer need glasses - after surgery I am near sighted - he advised he could correct with lasik surgery. I no longer trust him to do anything to my eyes & ask for half of my money to be refunded to me and his exact words were, "That isn't going to happen"

My experience with Dr. Silverstein was very poor. He pushed to have cataract surgery done in order to charge for premium lenses. After a "complicated" surgery I am left with a chronic eye condition requiring regular visits to a retina specialist, daily eye drops to keep infection down, and eye injections to control possible retina damage. He is too much in a hurry to do a good job. Appointments are rushed with Dr. Silverstein being present about 3 minutes of the hours you spend in his office.
