Horribly demeaning&rude.i feel bad if he’s married
Demeaning-cocky-mouthy- snide-disrespectful- mocks and laughs at your concerns and don’t expect to ever ask him to explain himself even when radiology says opposite of him.. seems dangerous to have a dr who acts in this manner to place your health in his hands..

Worst Dr I have ever encountered
He was annoyed by me being there- would not listen, didn't want to read the radiologist report- was arrogant, condescending, and narcissistic. I would never go back to him or send anyone to him.

I am amazed that I see this MD is still with Valley Health. I took my son there on a referral for a back injury. He has suffered years with pain, procedures and medications to try and help him. I went as a 2nd set of ears to hear what Schopick had to say. Long story short, he offered so advice on any treatment or surgery. When I then introduced myself (up till then he'd ignored me) I asked if I may ask a question, and he abruptly "said I don't have to talk to you" and walked out door! I was so shocked! Never have I ever been treated by a professional in such a rude, disrepectful manner. I actually was in tears when having to pay for a visit that was a waste of my time. My son has suffered for years and the least this man could have told him I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you. Stop taking the pain meds you've been prescribed. Why did he think we travel an hour to see him? Searching for help, someone who could operate/repair my son's back so he could have a normal life

Very professional with good communication on the procedure. Had a disc replacement to end tingling and numbness in arms and hands. Surgery and post op time went well.

My husband had sciatic nerve pain for >2 yrs, unrelieved by all conservative treatments (PT, Rx’s, epidural injections, etc). We were referred to Dr Schopick’s group by the Pain Clinic. Dr is very factual, explains problems & offered solution well, leaving the decision to us. We did seek another opinion from a physical rehab MD, who confirmed the surgical need. My husband did have the spinal fusion surgery. Everything went very smoothly with no complications! Relief of pain!

Absolutely awful ! To tell the entire story would take way to long so I’ll just sum it up and say the office neglected us after a failed surgery and now UVA has to do the entire surgery over ! ( surgery was confirmed failed after 2 weeks ) but the office would not acknowledge it so we had to go elsewhere . I can’t even give this dr a 1 star . This should never be happening to us ! We found out it was failed after a visit to ER and another MRI was done .

Dr. Schopick and his staff are the best. He did surgery (Lower back) on me 14 months ago, I have zero pain. I have recommended and will continue to recommend people to his office. The complete process was very professional. Hope that I never have to have back surgery again, but if I do then it will be Dr. Schopick and his staff. Thank's to Dr. Schopick and his entire staff,

A friend that works as an Anesthesiologist that has watched him in surgery highly recommends him. He is a very cut and dry professional that will not sugar coat things or tell you things you want to hear just to make you Feel warm and fuzzy. But I elected to get an artificial disk replacement with him at the knife and could not be happier. Like New!! So glad I listened to his colleague Instead of the silly negative reviews about long waits or billing?? He's a top shelf Surgeon not a therapist.

I cannot see why I could not get a simple phone call to tell me he could not do anything for me. Why did he accept for for a patient then and make me drive for an hour and charge me 400 dollars for 4 minutes. Oh that's right it was the money does not matter that I could not even afford the gas to get there. This is how medicaid, medicare and all other ins's is so costly.
