Excellent experience, he nailed my treatment. GREAT bedside manner, patient, willing to answer Qs and explain to satisfaction. Clearly he really CARED about me as the patient. Admitted 3/2018 with seizures and a brain mass that was an abscess. Dr. Salas determined the strain of bacteria that had attacked my body creating the abscess. After brain surgery, it was identified that I had endocarditis - the bacteria had also destroyed my aortic valve. Dr. Salas tried various combos and kept researching until he identified the correct antibiotic cocktail to beat the bacteria, alerting the cardiac surgeon when it was safe to continue with open heart surgery to replace the valve. He followed it with many weeks of IV treatments at home. I have had no further issues.

Dr Steven Salas saved my life. If he had not gone above and beyond to convince my surgeon that I needed a hip revision I would not be here today. What a wonderful person. Unfortunately, I couldn’t thank him in person. We went to the address on the Internet at 10250 92nd 203 and the receptionist waited 15 minutes to tell us we weren’t at the right location. We called at 1:03 and got directions. We arrived at 10 min after 1:00 then his nurse said she could not see us. I feel that she should have made the exception. I am in such pain and needed to be seen. Now I have to wait another week. Very disappointing.

I am very disappointed with the billing from Steven Salas. My insurance paid for the two short hospital visits that he did (Each visit less than 15 minutes). I was billed $735.00 of which my insurance paid $450.00. Most health organizations accept this discounted payment. Not Salas. Over a year later I received a bill for the remainder (Bill received 1 year 2 months after the service), and since it was over a year my insurance could not help as it was beyond the 6 month time for appealing a claim. I did try 4 times to have this bill adjusted. I nor the Insurance was successful. Out of frustration I finally paid the difference in 2020 for a hospital visit in 2018. Beware as you may pay out of your pocket for his services.

Hy husband was stricken with infections after surgery and after countless tests, our physician brought in Dr. Salas. Within 24 hours, Dr. Salad made a diagnosis and began treatment. His bedside manner was compassionate and he truly care about every patient and their family! How fortunate were we to find a brilliant man like Dr. Salad!

He was friendly in the hospital and reasonable. I am dissatisfied with the followup. I called and left message regarding my lab work 3 weeks ago that he had ordered post hospitalization and have had no call back about it. Thank goodness I am a practicing provider myself that I understand the lab work and know enough about my condition that I can take care of myself.

I was admitted to the hospital with pseudomonas. Dr. Salas was called in to consult with my pulmonary doctor. He was on top of my issue within a matter of minutes. Sputum samples were collected and cultured to determine which IV antibiotics would work best against my particular strain of pseudomonas. Dr. Salas came by daily to update me on the findings. Once it was determined which IV antibiotics were most effective, Dr. Salas ordered the change and closely monitored my progress.
