Dr Nelson listens carefully and is very attentive to patient's needs and concerns.

Dr Nelson literally saved my life . He performed my hysterectomy and leading up to that surgery he was so caring and attentive for all the years i was his patient . I’m so grateful for him. My sisters go to him and now one of my nieces . I trust him so much and I would never recommend anyone else . Thank you Dr Nelson for the incredible care for so many years .

Dr. Nelson is an incredible man. He gives outstanding care and always keeps mom and baby's health as top priority. My son had a very rare prolapsed cord during birth. If i had a less experienced doctor my baby would not be here today. Dr. Nelson saved his life and mine. I will always recommend him and his team.

I’ve been seeing dr Nelson for 30 yrs he delivered my kids and also been my gynecologist since.He delivered my grandchildren.very compassionate patient and caring.He knows what he’s doing I will not go to no one else! I just wanted to thank Dr. Steven Nelson for the most wonderful care of me and my newborn daughter. Dr, Nelson from the beginning of my pregnancy has been amazing. He answered my 1000s first time mom questions, got to know me as a person, and never made me feel dumb or rushed. He comforted me when I was nervous during my prenatal visits. My delivery of my baby girl was successful because of Dr. Nelson. He made me feel so comfortable during the entire process, always listened to my concerns, and answered my questions. He truly is a very special person and beyond talented doctor. I feel beyond blessed to have Dr. Nelson in my life, and he will be the only doctor I want to deliver my future babies and who I will recommend to my friends and family. He is truly made to deliver babies and I am so grateful that he is my doctor. He is one of the most brilliant doctors I have ever met.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Absolutely worst doctor. Put my sons life at risk. He only cares about himself and golfing. As that’s what he talked about during my delivery and then my child came out not breathing due to his error.

The worst doctor I have ever encountered. Has no manners, thinks he’s doing you a favor by talking to you. I called him at 730pm because my wife had an emergency situation. He talked to me for 5 mins then I said I’m going to talk to my wife and call you back. He proceeded to tell me that he’s at the movies with his kids and that he’s been on call two weekends already so we should text him instead. He tells us to go to the ER and says he has already called and told them what tests to run. We get there and they say we have received no calls from him. I call him on his cell phone and text him but no response. I call the clinic, they page him 3 times and he never calls. Worst of all is that I told a nurse at the hospital how he told me he was at the movies and she’s like “oh that’s funny when you call him, he tells you he’s at movies. When I call him, he tells me he’s at the other hospital.” Absolutely disgusting human being that should’ve never became a doctor let alone an OB.

He did not wear a mask I was shocked. He obviously doesn’t believe in leading by example and he should reconsider. I will find a new doctor ASAP.

I had four children and only my last one was with Dr Nelson 16 years ago. I still tell women that he was the best OB I've ever had. He gave me whatever I needed and if you question his knowledge, just look at his education (not listed is that he was a Rhodes Scholar--if you don't know what that is, look it up. Dr. Nelson is literally brilliant) I do not understand the negative review at all, and I have NEVER heard anything but positive about him. After 16 years, I would say that he has left a lasting impression. Not everything can be perfect, but he is pretty close. BTW, if I ever had a wait, it was well worth it.

I would like to update my review once again with Dr Nelson . I had my baby in September and I can’t say enough great things about him , He let’s you have your birthing experience your way everything went so smooth and I truly felt he listened to me and cared for what I wanted and for the best interest of my baby and I ! I would definitely recommend him he has knowledge and many years of experience and a good attitude !

These reviews are altered. I’ve been watching Dr. Nelson’s reviews ever since my son was born 5 years ago and there have been COUNTLESS negative reviews about him that have seemed to disappear! I will never stop trying to warn others about this man. He is belittling, rude, and controlling. He says that his motto is to help you do birth your way, but that couldn’t be further from the truth, he WILL do it HIS way and he’ll manipulate you until he gets what he wants. I have had 3 more pregnancies since him and and have never been treated the way he treated me. I’m always nervous and expect to be treated that way, but never. He seriously put my son’s life in danger in order to “put me in my place.” We are very fortunate that our son is ok. He does have some lasting health problems as a result of his birth that could’ve been prevented, but we’re very grateful he’s alive. Please don’t go to Dr. Nelson. Every woman deserves more and to be treated better and you will by going somewhere else.

Dr. Nelson and his surgical team are OUTSTANDING, I had inpatient surgery December of 2017 and didn't need or consume pain medication following my surgery. He is an expert in his field, in addition to being patient, thorough and kind. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for the most qualified and innovative doctor. Note: he may run a little tardy, due to delivering new life - he is worth the wait, especially when your well-being is is benefited by his mastery.

Dr. Nelson is a kind, patient, and knowledgeable doctor. I would highly recommend this center and Dr. Nelson.

I love Dr. Nelson. He delivered my first daughter and is my OB currently for my second daughter. He is very straightforward and knowledgeable, and takes the time to listen and reassure his patients with any concerns. He is prepared each time I see him, and has shown more than once that he keeps up on current scientific literature. The only downfall, and I'm sure this is the case with any good doctor in an unpredictable field such as obstetrics, is delays in appointments.
