I feel that I need to leave a review to warn others from scheduling an appointment with him. He seems like a nice and understanding man but I felt beyond uncomfortable in his office. There are piles and piles of papers, empty boxes, old Christmas bags all over. When I reached for a pen I accidentally dunked my fingers in an old cup of coffee sitting out. In that setting there is no way I could feel comfortable and certainly feel wary of his diagnoses when he seems to have issues of his own

Save yourself HUNDREDS. PILES OF MESS EVERYWHERE. NO STAFF. $350/hour, I was told when I scheduled the appt. there would be a diagnosis & medication prescribed. WRONG. He gave me the excuse at the end that since he hadn't gotten my records from my previous doctor, he didn't want to prescribe yet. My previous doctor tried 7 times to fax him, but his fax number is his main line. $350 yet another appointment, no clear diagnosis. New med causing anxiety, called 4 times in 2 weeks ZERO RESPONSE!!

Smart, empathic, trustworthy, attentive. A good listener who hears more than just what I say. Fantastic memory for detail. Dials in to patterns and behaviors and is patient and strategic in nurturing change. Gifted in giving therapy and prescribing meds. Available. Best of the best. Recommend without reservation.

Dr Mitchell is very talented. He listens intently trying to tease out details, then presents his recommendations. My family and I have found him very supportive in points of crisis (as well as mundane). One of the top psychiatrists in the greater Seattle area who can also deal with the added complexities of family run businesses-a breath of fresh air. He rarely travels for vacation or training, however when he does he lets clients know a month in advance and reminds us. Highly recommend!

His approach was too fast in appointments. Kept a quiet Listener. Appointments are short.

My interaction last year has bothered me all year so now I write. I was told an initial diagnostic meeting was $330. At the end of 67 minutes, he said my case was complicated and we would need another $330 session. The second session started late and ended early. He said to call me to schedule a third session right away; two hours later his machine had a vacation message. His pronouncements, hypotheses, and questions gave me no confidence. The following week I found a great doctor.
