Dr. Steven Lobacz, MD

Dr. Lobacz met me as graduate student and spent a lot of time with me. This doctor is top 1% in quality and also dedication. My insurance dropped in residency. I was uncovered for a period of time. Dr. Lobacz continued to see me and billed nothing. He had samples to get me through. I now do pro bono work Medicaid to give the love and positive energy bestowed by Dr. Lobacz. The great thing about this pioneer in mental health as psychiatry expert and great bedside manner is he is very humble with unconditional positive regard. He could make 20 times the money but is focused upon right thing to do with his moral and love to everyone. I am sorry for this long message but this doctor allowed me to accomplish great things. Does anyone have anyone they recommend I see now?

Dr. Lobacz is the best! Commenting on the review below, he does provide you with his personal phone in case you cannot get a hold of him. He's professional, on time, he never makes me feel rushed, and he gives you the care you need. I always feel welcomed, and less anxious when I'm around him. I enjoy our visits, and wish he could be my therapist! I highly recommend to anyone.

Once upon a time, Dr's would send a courtesy call or email to confirm an appt. Lacking that, I called his phone number to confirm an appt, but his voicemail was full. So then I composed a fax and that number was repeatedly busy. Given that psychiatrists are often dealing with folks with reduced "facilities" and stress, I would hope that this basic level of service would be offered and not needlessly put on the backs of already burdened patients. If I wouldn't be charged for a no-show (no way of cancelling, right?), I'd stop seeing this guy asap. I have other concerns, but this is so basic. We pay $300-500 for 45-50 minutes a visit, shouldn't we expect more (like accessibility)?

He listens so patiently and answers all my questions. I am very happy that I decided to go see him.

Every visit he remembers what was going on in my life. Since treatment through him & his practice my life has drastically gotten better.

Dr. Lobacz is an amazing psychiatrist and human being. He really cares about people and helping them the best he can. He is very repsonsive and simply helped me be functional for years. He has been a god send for me and I truly believe he was one the best humans on earth. He doesn't judge you but he does tell you the truth and he's firm yet compassionate. He's also been very flexible and Dr. Lobacz works LONG HOURS and is an extremely dedicated professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Lobacz for years now. he has helped me through so much and i would never see another doctor. i originally started seeing Dr. Lobacz when i lived in Rogers Park by his office. i was very timid with doctors before but with DR. Lobacz it was totally different. he makes you feel comfortable and i think that is the most important relationship between a doctor and patient. although i have moved out of the area since, i still travel the extra miles just to see Dr Lobacz.
