Dr. Steven Kimmel, MD

The first couple of initial visits was awesome after that Dr Kimmel wants nothing to do with you and then pushes you off to his PAs. If you do make an appointment with him, he makes you wait for several hours. His staff is equally as bad as he is. I know it’s hard to find a doctor in this field, but look somewhere else.

This is the 2nd time billing dept screwed up. First time they billed me for over $300 due to their coding error. Second time recvd a bill from lab for close to $1700 since they used a lab not in network. I have a great insurance carrier and they went to bat for me. Billing dept claimed I was very rude to her. You'd think she would apologize for her negligence. Now she is as quiet as a church mouse. Once again Dr Kimmel is the greatest however you had better get all chgs that you will be responsible for in advance of all testing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kimmel's for over 30 years. Unfortunately, I have five auto-immune diseases. The Dr. has helped me through all of them over the years. He is patient and caring and takes the time to explain what is happening to me. The office staff is also very caring from the front desk to the infusion center. I have recommended Dr. Kimmel to several people.

What an amazing diagnostician Dr. Kimmel is. After decades of suffering and being told that my pain and symptoms were nothing to worry about, I was finally diagnosed with the auto immune disease that has been slowly ravaging my body. Dr. Kimmel listened to me, made sense of what doesn't make sense with most of symptoms, aches and pains and then tests and performs the right diagnostics that only an experienced and detail oriented physical can puzzle piece together. Thank you, Thank you. I am now going to finally get the relieve I deserve to help me feel better and be productive.

The staff are PSYCHOTIC. Never got past them to see the doctor, but any doctor that has this kind of staff must HAVE POOR JUDGEMENT in other areas as well. Would not trust him with my health. There are PLENTY of good rheumatologists in town. Nastiness unprovoked by the receptionist who makes appointments. I teach medicine and train medical students and I will surely use my experience with Dr. Kimmel and his poor judgement in hires as an example of what NEVER to do. He should be ashamed of himself.

Found doctor to listen and explain things clearly. He had no problem with my many questions and opinions but corrected any incorrect ideas with no judgment. His staff, I found, to be busy but kind and good humored. He has a busy practice so there will be some waiting, but it's worth it.

I was scheduled for a telehealth appointment which I confirmed the same day and Dr. Kimmel never called. office staff is unhappy

He is the best always has time to explain every thing to you

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LEAVE ANGRY AND STRESSED! I can't say much about the doctor because I did not get to see him.  When I made my appointment I was told by the receptionist they accept my insurance but I still told her that I needed her to verify my Insurance, even though they accept United Healthcare for some reason some Doctors do not accept the type of insurance I have with United Healthcare. She told me she would and I would get a call back if they did not accept it. A month later when I arrive for my appointment I was told sorry we do not accept your insurance. The receptionist did not do her job and I had to leave almost in tears because I now wasted a month waiting for this appointment and now have to go look for a new doctor and get another referral because the staff at this office didn't do their job and waited to the last minute for verification even though I asked for it upfront to avoid this situation. Very unprofessional!

Wasn’t going to leave a review but after further consideration felt it was necessary. Was very pleased with Dr. Kimmel himself but after being totally insulted by one of his staff members would never consider returning. I do not welcome negative, religious insults. Following this and while waiting to be seen a staff member was parading the halls, notifying others that it was “cake time”. After waiting almost forty minutes to be seen I went to the door, looked left and right and it looked like there had been a mass evacuation. Decided it was time to leave. This staff needs training and direction. The least they could have done was offer me some cake.

I saw Dr. Kimmel for around 2 years. I was searching for a diagnosis for my Chronic Pain. He was very helpful, explained things well, and listened to me. I would recommend him.

Dr. Kimmel is an outstanding physician. I have gone to him for 15 years and he is the most compassionate doctor. He always returns phone calls and takes the time to explain all the symptomd you are experiencing. He is very kind and takes the best care of his patients.

I had a 3:45 appointment and was taken into another waiting room at 4:30 and walked out at 6:00 without getting the hand x-ray because there was someone in the x-ray room. I was so tired of waiting. The doctor's excuse was that there were three new patients scheduled. So why would the office staff schedule 3 new patients at the same time? Definitely poor office management. I don't know if I will return.

Dr. Kimmel is the best doctor ever. He is not only well versed in his area of the medical field, but is such a very knowledgeable in many areas of the medical field. I trust his judgement whole heartedly. Not only that, he’s is so compassionate! He has great bedside manners. I thank my friend for recommending him to me. If you or someone you know needs an excellent rheumatologist, trust me, choose him. You can’t do any better!

I am a new patient so have been to the office a few times. Dr Kimmel is okay. The thing I don't like they don't answer the telephones or return your phone calls. All you get are voicemails. His assistant not friendly. Reminds me too much of a meat market atmosphere like they are too busy to answer your calls but they want your money. Not sure if I will continue here or look elsewhere. I need questions answered they don't respond

I am a new patient and Dr Kimmel went out of his way to take my call when I needed him. He is too kind. I will continue to use him and would recommend this doctor to anyone. Not many doctors would do that.

Dr. Kimmel: This is your patient Oscar G. De Piñeres who has Lupus and cannot go now for your excellent treatment since I am out town. However, I started a treatment by another doctor Dr. Ariel Herrera Perez (Rheumatologist, Cartagena). He prescribed Hydroxychloroquine 200mg. If you have any comment about this pill, please, let me know soon. So far I am doing fine without any side effect. Also, if you have a different pill suggestion, order them to Humana Pharmacy (or the same). Thank you.

It's my opinion Dr.Kimmel hands down is the best rheumatologist in south Florida hands down !! Been visiting him for two years give or take , and his professional attitude is superb... Thank you for always helping me with my R/A and meds Doc-:) bless you always !!!!!!
