This was my first and maybe only visit with Dr. Steven J. Friedman at his office in Bellmore. When Dr. Friedman came in there was no introduction, no smile, In a very firm voice, small step from a tell, asked me"What are you doing here!?" "What's changed!?" I sat there not knowing what to say. Obviously he mistook me for someone else, after a few minutes he realized his mistake. No apology. As we went further into discussing my health concerns, I felt very dismissed, blown off. I tried joking around with my answer concerning my weight I said "Fat!" and I chuckled..no response. No personality .no warmth or real concern. As I was leaving I always ask twice to anything so I'm not mistaken, I had to sign a release of information form. He pointed his finger towards the front desk and started talking very slowly..like I was stupid. He also suggested I go to another facility for care. I traveled round trip 2 hours for this.

Very Poor
The dr has no personality and did not take my concerns and symptoms seriously. He did not test or provide a resolution.

I have been going to Dr. Friedman for many years. I have always found him to be very competent, professional and caring. I could not be happier with his being my physician.

I found Dr Friedman to be very dismissive and not take my health concerns serious. When I initially went to him I told him what I had suspected I may have (H Pylori)and he NEVER did any proper testing for it. Now after a year of suffering I found a new dr for a second opinion. She listened , took me serious and had a game plan. She TESTED my stool and sure enough it was found I had the H pylori infection. You know what Dr Friedman said I probably had?——-Reflux despite me telling him I rarely ever have heartburn. So for a year I’ve been taking anti acids and medicines like Omeprezol For NO REASON. Had he listened to me, took me serious and Did the PROPER testing then I wouldn’t have spent a year of my life suffering tremendously. And , if left untreated this could lead to stomach cancer. Thanks so much Dr Friedman !

Practices internal medicine and was our Primary Care Physician for many years. My husband got a bad chest cold and we thought it might be pneumonia. I called the doctor and they refused to see him because he hadn't seen the doctor for several years and would be considered a new patient, but they aren't seeing new patients. We were forced to look for another doctor.

Dr. Friedman is one of the most sensitive, caring physicians I have met in a long time. His small office staff are knowledgeable and beyond efficient. I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen and insurance approvals are usually obtained within 24 hours. He truly listens to what you have to say and bases his treatment plan on your stated issues. He is one of the few physicians still running a medical practice instead of a corporate based clinic.

Dr. Friedman is great! His office staff, not so much. They NEVER call back when they say they will. They go days, even a week without giving the doctor a message from a patient. They have no sense of urgency whatsoever and should NOT be anywhere near the medical field. If I hadn't moved out of state, I probably wouldn't go back here just because of the staff. It's not worth it. Doctor, you need to hire new staff. And I am not the only one to feel this way as my entire family uses this practice.
