He saved my colon
Dr. Brant is one of the most knowledgeable doctors regarding IBD you could ever find. Smart and caring! When others wanted to remove my colon, he prescribed the exact medicinal cocktail to save it. My UC has been stable for 5 years now. I am so very grateful.

I was referred to Dr Brant by my GI for a second opinion. The following are a few of his exceptional skills demonstrate at all times: • Pays attention, listens, does not trivializing patient concerns • Explains, clarifies findings/procedures/problems/medications • Displays patience • Knowledgeable • Experienced • Well versed & up-to- date with current data based studies and research • Extraordinary “people skills” & “bed –side manner” Always maintaining professionalism, one can see, Dr Brant truly cares for his patients and is committed to his field, gastroenterology.

I was a patient of Dr. Brant's while he was at Johns Hopkins. I had a complicated case -- Crohn's, pregnant, and major issues. He agreed to take me and was instrumental in getting me upright and functional. Later, when I was in remission but occasionally had bumps -- like fatigue, he was the person with the suggestion to fix it (3x, actually) -- even outside gastro, instead of blindly throwing more scripts at the problem.
