My father chose Dr. Bolling to perform his mitral valve surgery in May of 2020 based on all the great reviews found online. He ended up with a 10 in incision (instead of the promised 4-5 inches), a damaged phrenic nerve, hemi diaphragm, and a permanently partially deflated lung. And, the surgeon who just spent over 12 hours repairing my father's 8cm aortic aneurysm/dissection told us he strongly suspects this aneurysm and dissection was due to damaged caused to my father's heart during Dr. Bolling's surgery. He believes this strongly enough to have included this in his post-operative notes. Please speak up if this man has caused you injury.

Dr. Bolling completely saved my husband. He repaired his mitral and tricuspid valves for life. He and his team are complete miracle workers. My husband had surgery just prior to the pandemic in Feb 20 and later that year was completely out of congestive heart failure. He and his team are the most competent people I've ever met. I thank God for Dr. Bolling and his team and we are so thankful we went to Michigan Medicine over the first hospital and their diagnosis.

He is a mitral valve superstar. When all hope was lost for my mother he stepped in and reversed her death sentence. He is clear, concise, and no nonsense. There are surgeons and then there are the elite. He is the elite. His entire team is.

wonderful surgeon very skilled, professional and organized, man of few words but to the point the way it should be. The care I received at University of Michigan was outstanding I can only say I am alive today because of this doctor his staff, and nurses. Triple bypass with diabetes complications 6 weeks after surgery and in cardiac rehab and doing well, my greatest thanks to Doctor Bolling.

His profile states that he has done thousands of valve surgeries. That us why I chose him to do my mitral valve repair. A year later, my valve is still leaking, and I came out of surgery with a paralyzed hemi diaphragm, damaged vocal chords, and exposure to the worst bedside manner in my 70 + years of experience with doctors. In my first month appointment, he was rude, disrespectful and demeaning.

I would recommend Dr Bolling over any other. His expertise with Mitral valve repair and replacement has extended my life for over 15 years. I would not want to have any future care done other than at the U of M Cardiovascular Center. They are the best!

I had to have mitral valve surgery a few years ago and Dr. Bolling and his staff were excellent. Dr. Bolling himself is professional, personable and patient, with a great sense of humor, He takes the time to answer your questions and when the day for surgery arrives, you really do feel like you're in good hands.
