I have been very fortunate to have Dr. Bailey perform a number of surgeries on my cervical and lumbar spines. I was involved in a very serious car accident, in California back in 1985, and was 1/4 mm from being quadriplegic. When I moved to the Gainesville area in 2010, I started having problems. Dr. Bailey determined that I needed additional surgeries. He was extremely professional with me and he is a super skilled and proficient neurosurgeon. I am now requiring another surgery on my lumbar spine and have 100% confidence that Dr. Bailey will, once again, be able to help me deal with this problem.

He did my spinal fusion. Up next morning and back to yoga in a month. No one else is as gentle as he.

Dec 4, 2017 Dr Bailey performed surgery on my back. It is almost a year since that surgery and I need to say thank you for giving me an active life again! I can golf again, walk 2+ miles each morning, and continue with yoga. Without surgery I was almost an invalid due to the nerve pain shooting through my body. He was recommended to me by three other people in the area that had back surgery. He came highly recommended.

Did surgery on back, device came out of place, but he lied saying that there was “nothing to fix”. I was in tremendous pain. Finally went to another doctor who did surgery correcting problem.

Dr Bailey has taken care of my back issues for over a decade. We avoided fusion for a long time until the Coflex treatments became available. The surgery went smoothly and I was out of the hospital in 24 hours. I feel so much better now and have resumed many of my former activities pain free. Dr. Bailey and his staff listen, explain and discuss procedures and treatments with you. I highly recommend him to anyone with back issues.

Having 3 previous back surgeries using less envasive procedures, I was concerned with the complexity of the damage to the upper disk in my lumbar region. Dr.Bailey spent more than one office visit discussing my condition and possible solutions. DrWe ended up repairing and cleaning two disk and with no hardware. Since my surgery my condition has continued to improve and I have reduced my pain medication from 100mg of oxycodone down to not needing pain medicine every day

I had spinal stenosis which was debilitating! Dr Baily performed the surgery on Monday and I wasI was in overnight and released the next day, free of the constant nerve pain that had plagued me for 6 months. He inserted 2 coflex devices between the vertebrae. The staff he worked with were extremely helpful, courteous, professional and accurate with their care! I would highly recommend Dr Baily to anyone suffering from spinal stenosis and such nerve pain.

I consider my back surgery a failure. I have a constant sciatica problem that was intermittent prior to the procedure that now is permanent. I suppose that I am in the 10% unsuccessful category instead of the 90% "successful" category. Was not enough bone to get 1 of the 4 screws in; so- it was unsuccessful and did not fix the pinched sciatic nerve resulting in constant pain, inability to stand for any length of time or walk constantly. I wish I knew that there would not be enough bone...

Dr. Bailey is absolutely incredible. Besides being a wonderful doctor, knowing exactly what your problem is, he is kind, understanding and loving. The staff and office is warm and welcoming. I had back surgery for spinal stenosis 6 weeks ago and I am up and around walking without a walker or cane. I have my life again, thanks to Dr. Bailey and I would certainly recommend him to anyone having back problems.

I have had two surgeries on my neck both were done by Dr Bailey my surgery was done December 14th 2016 I am feeling so much better and the pain is now minor and surgery was a success I have not felt this good I'm several years !! Dr Bailey and his team are the best and I would recommend him and his team above anyone else!!!

I had spinal surgery in March 2016 on my neck between C5-C6 because my spinal cord was severely compressed due to accidental fall. I was a high risk patient. Dr Bailey's communication skills, compassion, and surgery skills were an A+ per-surgery, on day of surgery, and post-op. he did a great job and I am fully recovered from a situation that could have left me a quadriplegic for life. I recommend him highly. My friends who have gone to him for surgery have nothing but praise for him.

He was not forthcoming with his surgical limitations. He is an excellent surgeon with traditional techniques. However, if one is seeking less invasive and less aggressive surgical options, I urge you to do your research and find a Dr. Who is qualified in state of the art medicine. You will not find that with dr. Bailey. Additionally, he will not inform you of his limitations, even when questioned. I prefer an honest Dr. who will refer you to another physician who is more qualified.
