I had a biopsy year ago they found 4 different lung infections...3 were left untreated...i was told have sleep apnea im still waiting to schedule a sleep study that was approved back in july 2024...now today i learned these past 5 years they should have been measuring my neck and i had my 1st pulminary function test today im just blown away by his lack of care there is so much more but im running out of room do not recommend dr mashour

Short Time
After years of having breathing issues, I went to Mountain Medical Pulmonary Center and was seen by Dr Mashour. Prior to the Dr coming in to examine me, the nurse gave me a breathing test, which came out better than normal. The Dr came in and asked me various questions. 95% I answered “NO” to. He said I have Asthma and gave me a prescription for a steroid inhaler. He also told me that this was his last week in Carson and would be moving his Practice to Reno. I felt rushed, but then thought he’s a doctor and knows what he’s doing! I went to get my prescription, but it was never called in. When I did pick it up the next day, I followed the instructions. With one inhale, I had a severe reaction! I got an instant headache, shakiness and my heart was racing. It did NOTHING for my breathing. Long story short; I don’t have asthma. Dr rushed me with this diagnosis. He was on a “short-time” and ready to leave Carson! CT Scan shows an issue with my Trachea, possible Tumor on it.

I'd been struggling with being tired for a few years to the point that my quality of life was incredibly decreased. My primary doctor couldn't figure it out and was sure I had sleep apnea. I was sure I didn't but figured I'd rule it out in order to find the real issue. Dr. Mashour was great and agreed I didn't have sleep apnea and found a proper diagnosis. While I'm still tired, the medication definitely helps and my quality of life has improved. I've never felt rushed and he's really good at explaining things. My insurance was also a pain and he was patient with working with them to make sure I got the help I needed.

Knowledgeable and helpful but you need to be insis
Dr. Mashour first suggested that my breathing issue was caused by my weight after I pushed back on that assumption and insisted that it was not he agreed to do further testing. Since then he has been most responsive and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Mashour to anyone seeking help with breathing issues.

Dr. Mashour does not care about his patients. My wife went to him for help with her insomnia but she has many other health concerns that he was not directly treating. At her last in-office appointment he agreed that her cancelling her sleep studies was appropriate because if she were to have gone her results would have been invalid and another study would have been ordered. So he discharged her anyway from his 'care'. He has no compassion or understanding and is a pompous git.

My husband has sleep apnea and has recently developed symptoms even with his cpap. His levels have not been adjusted for about 5 years. Having talked to Dr mashour for about 3 minutes we were told that a prescripiton for a mask would be referred. The cpap company said a study is required for a new mask because over time, many things can change. My brother died from apnea. This is a disease that should be taken seriously and I would not recommend this doctor.

On our 1st appt, his 1st comment, I see you have a million dollar workup. I have shortness of breathe. We did pft's. Mashour's diagnosis-asthma. But, my pft results were inconclusive, and meds did not help, and I wanted to continue testing. Mashour told me I was doctor shopping. This is Dr code for you are a hypochondriac. Now, I have test results from a University Research facility clinical trial that prove...no asthma. I asked Mashour to review the results, he refused. Stay away.

This is the most condescending, ego centered doctor I have ever met. He is extremely rude. I wouldn't trust him a gerbil.
