Dr. Steve Lebovitch, MD

I spent four days in the hospital with sepsis after what was supposed to be a routine biopsy. When I saw him to get the results of the biopsy, his attitude was it happens. Needless to say I went to MSK for my surgery. I’mStill getting threatening mailers from his collection agency even though Summit Health hadn’t submitted to my secondary insurance.

I chose Dr. Lebovitch based on Healthgrade’s ratings and reviews. I was a little apprehensive choosing a physician without a personal recommendation, however it could not have worked out better. Dr. Lebovitch is an excellent urologist. During my initial appointment, he reviewed my condition, thoroughly explained my test results and outlined my treatment options. His surgical treatment remedied my condition and his thorough follow up, to identify the root cause, has impressed me. I would highly recommend him!

I visited Dr. Lebovitch in April 2019 because of concerns of my high PSA; I requested another exam, to make sure there were no error and PSA appeared as high as the first time. The doctor said that in this situation biopsy is necessary. He personally completed biopsy on me on July 18 at the institute Maywood facility; my follow up visit was scheduled right away on July the 30st. On that date I learned that I have prostate cancer. Dr. Lebovich made everything possible to make this knowledge easier for me - and explained my options, tolerating with a great patience my interruptions and sometimes stupid questions. At the end of conversation I felt much better and more educated about my decease. When I asked where can I read more about it he offered me a book which I found very helpful. I would recommend Dr. Lebovich to anybody who has prostate problems. He is honest, educated, experienced doctor and real gentleman. Again I am very grateful for his nice manners,
