Skilled physician has a distant personality
From the very first visit with Dr. Wilmarth, he rushed in and rushed out. He seem to want to get to the next room as soon as possible. I didn’t find him sharing any of the test results or discussing any of my eye concerns. You might ask why am I continuing to go to Dr. Wilmarth well, he is very skilled ,very intelligent , and has a extensive range of experience. Also, I hope in the future that he recognizes that taking a little more time is very beneficial for the patient doctor experience.

Great doctor & great business
Such a great experience at Wilmarth Eye and Laser Center. I have been wearing contact lenses for over 25 years, and I was hesitant to get my eyes fixed. I went in a for a consultation, and Dr. Wilmarth made me feel so confident in getting lasik surgery. I had a couple pre-surgery appointments, all done very quickly and easily, and then I went in for surgery. The lasik surgery was PAINLESS and so so quick. Recovery was just as easy, and by the next morning, I was seeing as clear as if I were still wearing my contact lenses. I'm now a week out of surgery, I have better than perfect vision, and I'm so so happy with my results! Thank you to Dr. Wilmarth and his team!

Using Dr. Wilmarth is either great or terrible depending on outcome. He has an outstanding educational background (Stanford Trained). I checked his reviews before "hiring" him and they were mostly great. Results of multifocal implant were terrible. Many office visits and attempts to correct bad vision failed. He wanted to do a lasik procedure to maybe help but I decided that I was done with him. Went to a large well respected group locally for a second opinion and was told to get new prescription for glasses and live with results. The reason for the surgery was to remove cataracts and not need glasses for outdoor activities. Dr. told me he gets these results about every 500 operations. Odds were in my favor but I lost. They won't answer my calls after I told them they should refund my money for the implant portion of the procedure ($3k for one eye). When it comes time to have the other cataract removed you can be sure I won't fall for the "top of the line" upgrade.

I had a horrible visit with this Doctor. I could hear him talking to the patient in the room next to mine, he was very kind to him. I am a person of color, immigrant worker for 10 years. I let him know I had pterygium and severe dry eye. When he came to my room he stood at the door and yelled at me from the door frame in an accusatory tone “ and what makes you think you have dry eyes? who told you that?” Despite me telling him how much pain I am in he said he didnt think it was that bad. I left on tears. I don’t ever want to see this doctor again and it makes me question if race was a factor in how I was treated. I would advise any poc to steer away from this doctor

I was disappointed by seeing how staff in the office followed the precautions to avoid contamination. The girl who did the measurements of the eye had no gloves. Touched the eyes and head of the patient then with the same hands did typing on the computer. Really? Even without coronavirus you shouldn’t do that.

If you're looking into Lasik eye surgery this is the place to go to. Dr. Wilmarth performed my Lasik eye surgery a few months back & let me just tell you, it has changed my life! Not only did he make me feel extremely comfortable, he gave me AMAZING results. I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 4th grade & it is so freeing not having to rely on glasses or contacts anymore. I highly recommend this provider. We're in the year 2020, make this your year to finally have perfect vision!

I just had my Lasik procedure preformed at Steve Wilmarth's office and I am thrilled with the results! My vision is now remarkable, I was actually able to see and go about tasks mere hours after the procedure. In addition, Colette and the rest of the staff at Dr. Wilmarth's office are superb and made me feel very comfortable and the Lasik was done in less then 10 minutes. Dr. Wilmarth kept me engaged the entire procedure and I very much appreciated the dialogue and quirky humor to make the time pass even quicker. I would recommend Dr Wilmarth to anyone considering Lasik corrective surgery. My only regret is that I didn't have it done sooner!

If you have anything seriously wrong, steer clear. Gave me long vision cataracts without asking my preference (I wanted close vision) and was satisfied at keeping my eye pressure too high for glaucoma with thin corneas. This went on for too long and probably contributed significantly to so much vision loss I lost my drivers licence.

My experience was amazing. From the moment I called to inquire about an appointment to the surgery was flawless. The staff were amazing and the doctor knowledgeable. I have been in glasses for 45 years and was hesitating, but I am so glad I did it. The doctor and staff addressed every concern and were very patient with me. Colette, Pat and Shawn were great. Very great experience and I should have done it years ago. I especially appreciate all the double checks they did.

I had Lasik done by Dr. Wilmarth over 10 years ago, and I'm really glad I did. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and I had 20/20 vision the next morning at my first Post Op appointment, a very positive experience! I would definitely recommend this office to anyone interested in Lasik.
