Very Amazing Doctor
Dr. Usala was one of the first doctors along with the neurologist that finally helped me and listened to me. I will be forever grateful to have been under his care and forever grateful for his help throughout my years in Amarillo. Thank you Dr Usala. :)

He is very brilliant in his areas of medical expertise, and quite bright in general. He greatly helped me when I could go to him (previous insurance). Dr.s since reversed his work, and I have kidney stones again. But his knowledge helped keep me kidney stone free for 21 years!

Brilliant, Determined and Kind
For the first time in over 20 years, I feel great. Dr. Usala is the first physician to look at my overall health picture, monitor my thyroid meticulously, diagnose my Graves Disease and provide the treatment that has FINALLY regulated my thyroid. His compassion and determination also helped me start Tepezza infusions to combat my thyroid eye disease. He is so kind, and explains everything in great detail and in a way I can understand what is going on. I am a different person today because of his fine care!

Dr. Usala was the most involved, thorough, compassionate, and knowledgable doctor I've ever known. I moved cross country, and it was with great regret that he will no longer be treating me. I will forever have the utmost respect for Stephen Usala, and appreciate being under his excellent care.

Dr. Usala understands that the very improbable happens, sometimes more often than previously believed. This understanding is why he found the pituitary tumor that wasn't supposed to be there, saving me from a great deal of physical, mental, and emotional pain. The interest he showed in me as a person and not just as a medical subject helped me to not just recover from hyper adrenal driven degradations that suddenly turned into a controlled adrenal deficient existence, but to learn to rebuild and thrive again as a whole. Essentially stated, Dr. Usala is a brilliant physician that not only saved my life, but whose counsel has been invaluable in helping me learn to live. He being a man of confidence, I feel sure Dr. U knows the former, but I'm not sure he is fully aware of the latter.

Dr. Usala has been my doctor for 10 years. I have adult on set, Type 1 diabetes. When I met Dr. Usala, I was in poor health. Today I enjoy a full life with good control of my diabetes. Dr. Usala is very knowledgable and he makes it a point to know his patients needs. He explains every aspect of patient care and gives a written account of each visit when you leave his office. I am very grateful he is my doctor!

I see Dr. Usala for Type I diabetes and he answers all of my questions and never seems rushed to get to his next appointment. He gives good advice to improve blood sugar control. His nurse Jeri is a very good trainer and very knowledgeable on insulin pumps. I highly recommend Dr. Usala and his health care team.

Going to Dr. Usala was one of the best experiences ever. His staff is very friendly and very caring. He is just incredible. His diagnoses were totally on point and his recommendations for a surgeon was totally on point and his follow up to my surgery has been problem free. His caring manner kept me totally at ease through what could have been a very stressful time. I totally recommend him to everyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Usala for 8 years, I recently was admitted into the hospital for having diabetic ketoacidosis. I was in the ICU for 2 days, I contacted his office to let him know & he calls me the next day while I am still in ICU to tell me that it was my fault that I was there! NEVER did he take the time to ask what might have contributed to my diagnosis. I was very disappointed because I had never had any problems like this before and this was the way he responded. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
