I think Dr Sullivan is an excellent psychiatrist. I’ve been a patient of his since 2017 and have found him to be extremely competent, professional, and caring. As early as even the first few appointments; I felt reassured and confident in his ability to manage my mental care needs. Highly recommend.

Like everyone has stated, Joy is a not a nice person nor one that should ever work in a psychiatric setting. However, Dr. Sullivan is even worse. He insisted I take an EXTREMELY expensive medication with no generic alternative. When I said my insurance did not cover this medication and would he please prescribe another one, he was incredibly rude and dropped me as a patient. Come to find out, he's in the pocket of big pharma... please research this before you see him.

I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Sullivan, and the receptionist, JOY, was very helpful (if not encouraging); she returned both my calls promptly and carefully talked me through my options. I felt that her service was excellent.

I have been Dr. Sullivan's patient for over 5 years. During that time, he has been a very effective, compassionate and professional psychiatrist who went above and beyond to handle all of the issues I presented during this time. He primarily handles medication management, but is also well-versed in other matters. I would highly recommend his practice.

I had the most horrible experience with the receptionist JOY. She is a bully and was so rude and disrespectful to me i left the office crying as i was already vulnerable enough since i go here for anxiety related issues, this woman should not be allowed to work in the mental health or patient facing industry. I know other people who’ve had similar negative experiences with her. I hope whoever hired her reads this I left so distraught and in disbelief that she actually has this job.

I will not be returning to this practice due to the lack of respect and sensitivity from the main receptionist and JOY. She is a bully. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect only because I asked to be billed for the fee of thecanceled appointment. She was so rude and a bully I was in tears and hysterical at the office all she said to me was ok please go you can leave now. She should not be allowed to work in a mental health practice or any patient faced office

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR NOR HIS PRACTICE. Here's the story: I saw Dr. Sullivan once for an evaluation, and months later decided I needed more regular help. Dr. Sullivan refused to reopen my chart (ok, he's busy), but ALSO refused to allow me to see any other doctor in his practice because "we don't swap patients". So not only would he not see, he effectively barred me from seeing anyone else in his practice. Absolutely awful for someone in need. On that alone, I recommend finding someone else.

He diagnosed me with the wrong condition, put me on meds that made it worse, and wouldn't listen to my symptoms. Only has patients come in every few weeks for 15 mins or less. Don't go to him unless you want to see a god complex in action.

My father is not feeling well and i tried to make an appointment for him with Joy the receptionist and she definately did not live up to her name sake. She was rude and started our conversation with "First of All" which puts me on the defensive immediately. I run a small business with 10 employees and she would be bounced on day one. Because of her I will not try to make another appointment. Terrible personal skills especially if she has to deal with the kind of patients I assume she does.
