Dr. Stephen Strohlein, MD

I saw Dr. Strohlein for a GI issue. He was friendly and had a good bedside manner. After I told him that I had Diabetes, he diagnosed me with gastropharesis without doing any tests. he asked me to stop eating foods with fiber e.g. oranges. About a year later, I mentioned this diagnosis to my primary care doctor who asked me to visit a hospital in Allentown to confirm the diagnosis through testing. My diagnosis, based on the test, was that I clearly did NOT have gastropharesis. I still do not not understand why Dr. Strohlein made this diagnosis without doing any test at all? Especially when his recommendations about my diet were quite drastic. To me it seems like a lack of effort, laziness, and sheer incomptency on his part.

Dr Strolein is a meticulous, expert in the field of gastroenterology. I trust him implicitly. He’s caring, worries about his patients. Always checks up on them after a procedure and will remain my gastroenterologist forever. Few doctors are like him. He puts you at ease, listens intently, describes the best course of action and is always available to you if necessary. He once called me while on vacation to check up on me. None like him in my 65 years on this planet I strongly recommend him to all looking for an outstanding gastroenterologist

My first colonoscopy, as a new patient. First visit was in 2 weeks, procedure scheduled in 2 weeks, biopsy results a week later. Everybody was kind and courteous.

He did my colonoscopy more thoroughly than other doctors might have done it and found a tumor in a remote part of my intestine. He is an excellent and dedicated doctor
