Recommend finding another PCP
STAY AWAY!!! If you are looking for a competent PCP who doesn’t make you wait up to 90 min for every appt, one who isn’t arrogant, rude, belittling, insulting and condescending, a PCP who actually cares about your health and demonstrates it by listening to your history and severity of symptoms, a PCP who doesn’t insist the specialists who have been treating you for years don’t have a clue - but he sure does, a PCP who doesn’t laugh at you and dismiss your discomfort when you try to get him to listen, a PCP who tells you are wrong about your own medical history, a PCP who seems to lack basic diagnostic skills, a PCP who doesn’t rudely walk out of the appointment of every visit when you are still talking, a PCP who will not apologize when proven wrong… then keep looking. Dr. Sigmund is all of this and worse- he is a woefully poor reflection on the medical profession. Fortunately, there are much better PCPs in the area so keep looking and if you value your health - STAY AWAY!!!

Horrible
Recently moved here from Arizona where I had a cardiologist and an Orthopedist. Dr. Stephen Sigmund would not refer me to a specialist on my first visit even though he knew it would take 3 months to get an appointment. Scheduled me for next visit in 2 months which put me 5 months behind. Meantime I’m in E R with heart problems. He criticized the ER doctors and questioned their knowledge. I waited in an empty lobby and then in exam room for 25 minutes after keeping me while I could hear him joking with his staff. He finally came in at 3:40 and tried to rush me out as they close at 4. Rude, narcissistic, cuts me off when I ask a question or try to answer his. Told me tests showed my heart was too muscular. When I asked what that meant he said it means your heart is too muscular. He took over a month to call in my medications. I changed doctors after my third visit.

Dr. Sigmond is friendly and knowledgeable & I believe a competent doctor. He does not take his time during your visit however, to listen to you or explain things to you thoroughly. If you are ok with a doctor who tells you what to do without passing on to you explanations and options then I say use his services. That is not for me and that is the only reason I rated him a three star.

I was seen by nurse practitioner Jennifer King just as check up and do some yearly blood work. She told me to call if I have not heard from her, so I did call and was told I would have to make an appointment to discuss my labs, mind you not they do not take my insurance so I pay out of pocket. I go to her because she is a great nurse practitioner but I do not like being nickled and dimed especially since I pay out of pocket.

This doctor is poor, not quite a quack, but close. Kept me waiting while he laughed it up with his staff and then gave me very short attention, maybe ten minutes, and billed for an extended visit. He once prescribed very potent medication which was entirely inappropriate for my situation.

This Doctor is terrible. Last appt. waited 1 hr 20 mins past apt. time. There is a 45 min. wait minimum on a regular basis. There are never any patients in the waiting room. I don't get it. He took offense to my questioning of his method of my treatment. He sent a letter asking me not to return. Terrible bedside manner also. He always ridicules and questions the specialist treatments the other doctors do. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr Sigmund is a nice man, who has treated me well. He has helped to get to the bottom of some issues, and generally speaking, I like him very much. With that said, I typically wait 20-30 minutes in the waiting room, then another 20-40 minutes in the exam room. He has never apologized for making me wait. I have found thru my experiences with him, that he is more apt to give you a "standard cocktail of meds" than try and give you what you need and nothing more.
