Highly recommend Dr. Shields
I highly recommend Dr. Shields and his staff. My 93 yr old mother has gone to Dr Shields for many years. He is always very knowledgeable, patient, and explains everything to to us. The entire staff is excellent.

I like to consult with Dr. Shields for what ails me and to insure my well being. I've every confidence in his ability to address what I present and to treat or direct me to further treatment. I'm so pleased he is my primary that I've arranged for my wife to make him hers as well. I accompanied her on her consult today. It went well, very well indeed. We're in good hands.

As my primary for over 20 years, Dr. Shields is compassionate, attentive and professional. He is a physician of integrity and intelligence who prescribes to my individual needs, be it medications, treatments, tests or referrals to specialists. He observes and listens, does not rush through visits. The staff in its entirety is dedicated and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Shields.

after 3 years of visits......... i find Dr Shields distant and unaware of my difficulties with my health care needs.. My struggles with my blood pressure and smoking have had little attention by Him and his staff..........do not need religion or a comparison to his own needs thrown in my face and comparisons made ..... I have no further confidence in Shields and am greatful that he choose to stop treating me in the middle of a pandemic

Dr Shields is the most caring Primary Care I have ever had. He is extremely thorough and he makes you feel that you are his only patient. If he is not certain about your condition, he is quick to make recommendations, whether tests or to send you on to a specialist, but always following your condition. At an appointment, you know he is truly concerned about your issues. Most instances there is a follow-up appt. so he can be certain, whatever your concerns, have been resolved.

I have been a patient of Dr Shields for 5 years and I won't have another primary care physician. His office staff has always been helpful with getting scripts, routine appt scheduling and urgent appt scheduling. Dr Shields is compassionate and caring and takes the time to listen. The only improvement I would suggest is to repair the parking lot.
