Terrible
Refused to even look at my imaging results, did absolutely nothing to alleviate my issues, and charged me $200 for absolutely nothing. Rude, offensive manner and wasted 30 minutes of my time while he chatted up the techs outside the exam room door. Disgusting behavior from a physician.

Highly recommend
I interviewed three doctors for a relatively complex nose repair issue. I am glad that I opted for Dr. Seal. The results are excellent and his no drama approach I found very appealing. The others I interviewed were more about their ego and flamboyance. Dr. Seal is about your sought outcome. I fully recommend him.

Best surgeon
Dr. Seal has performed two facial surgeries on me for cancer removal in the last year. I found him to be very knowledgeable and thorough and an expert in his skill and have been very pleased with the results. He is kind and compassionate and very caring. I highly recommend him without hesitation.

Excellent experience
I was surprised to see so many negative reviews about Dr Seal. I found him to be direct but not at all rude. I wasn't looking for a best friend, I was looking for answers. It took Dr Seal just minutes to conclude that a surgical procedure was the best route and I felt confident in his diagnosis. His office staff and surgical team were outstanding. At my follow-up, Dr Seal was kind and patiently answered my questions. A competent technician means more to me than anything. I highly recommend Dr Seal, and hope others will not judge him on some of the other reviews.

I have also been a victim of a fraudulent invoice of Dr. Seal and Asheville ENT. When asked about the unrequested service charges, the billing department said that I should pay or I would be turned over to collections. After two years they are fighting like a caged tiger to bill me $640 for a 3-4 minute chat without any information gained. I never had any call back or review of my letter from Dr. Seal, only certified letters from their offices insuring I would never be allowed on their property to inquire about the false bills. I am in COMPLETE DISBELIEF this 5 location enterprise is allowed to continue their methods targeting low income families in North Carolina. I hope the Federal Trade Commission and N.C. Attorney General will finally take notice of this operation and help protect our rights from large, predatory businesses!

Dr. Seal recently performed cancer surgery on my husband, and we were very pleased with all aspects of his work. He demonstrated especially good judgment by "changing plans" during the surgery itself (based on what he found), thus avoiding a very risky [planned] neck dissection which proved not to be necessary after all. He was very respectful to both of us--before and after the surgery--and showed evidence of really caring about my husband as his patient. We would definitely recommend him, or use him again if needed.

He botched a diagnosis of the lump on my tongue and called it reflux. It turned out to be cancer. He cost me a year. I would have been stage 1. He also botched a basil cell removal on my nose. He is not competant.

I want to advise extreme caution if you are considering going to Asheville Ear, Nose, and Throat. We had some good service BUT the bad service and ultimate dismissal of us as patients was horrible. I would not lie and risk liable/slander so I will give you facts and my opinions. One of the doctors there, Dr. Stephen Seal, MD, had horrible interpersonal skills. Luckily, I got him as a doctor as my wife would have been in tears if she had him. I’ve had other doctors outside this practice roll there eyes when I mentioned his name and were in shock when I told them how I was treated by him. If you decide to use this practice in spite of my warning then do yourself a huge favor and avoid getting him as a doctor.

After 2 visits and months of pain I found this doctor to show little to no interest in finding an answer to my ear pain. Finally my pulmonary doctor ordered a CT Scan to find a large amount of water in the ear.

Dr. Seal treated me for 5+ years for cancer. He treated me with respect and compassion. He never made me feel like he wasn't listening or he was in a hurry to get to another patient. He personally called my wife with details of my tests and plan of treatment. I truly believe he may have helped save my life. I believe he is one of the very best doctors in the area. It is shocking to me of any bad reviews.

Worst Doctor I ever met unprofessional to the max. You could hear him yelling at his patients from the waiting room. He suppossibly did a deviated septum surgery for me. Afterwards same problem and this guy I will not use word Doctor sent me to a nerulogist for the same problems he did the surgery for. I give him a 1 star only beacuse you do not offer a 0.

He was supposed to fix a deviated septum while doing rhinoplasty to make my nose smaller but in fact he made it BIGGER and I still have a deviated septum problem. Oh yeah, to top it off – he was arrogant!!!!!

Have seen this Dr twice. Very knowledgeable and quick. He has a very dry wit, which , by reading some of these comments I see some folks could not deal with. I personally think he is a very good Dr and knows his business. Thank you Dr Seal

I have first hand knowledge of what a skilled surgeon he is. It's not always about how much you like a doctor, but more how competent and skilled they are. I've seen hundreds of his patients do better than other doctors who are "nicer" than he is. I choose a good outcome over personality. But I do agree that if you do not understand your condition and you've mentioned you did not understand, you should not leave without a clear understanding of what your condition entails. He is a really good

Curt to the point of rudeness. I wouldn't really care about that if he had done anything to try and determine what's wrong with my ears. Spent three minutes with me at the most. I will not be returning. Now I understand why he had the first available appointment.
