fine doctor, poor staff
Dr. Obstbaum is terrific. Problem is, now twice we must beg for refills for glaucoma drops. Whatever interoffice channels they have don't work and the pharmacy doesn't get authorization till we've about run out. Second time this has happened and we are coming into the Christmas weekend when everything will be closed. The best they could promise when I phoned in a panic was to mark it "urgent."

Five years ago Dr. Obstbaum performed cataract surgery on me and it was a disaster which has virtually blinded me in my left eye. He has never acknowledged this was his doing, saying the condition existed pre-surgery. I would have known if it did. In discussion with him post surgery, he yelled at me and refused to admit responsibility. Since then I've feared having surgery on the other eye. I was 75 when this occurred. Everyone in his officeheard him scream at me. But his myth lingers on.
