Absolutely the worst doc in the area. Terrible Doctor. If injured and in severe pain, Request a doctor with compassion and care for the patient. This man is in the wrong line of work. He’d be better off having a job where he can heartlessly fire people. DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS’ well being. Worst experience with a medical “professional” I have ever had to deal with in my life. Request another physician if this jerk is assigned to you during an emergency. He will treat you like a second class citizen and do everything in his power to make sure you do not receive proper treatment. It is human beings like this man that make all people distrusting of the medical system in this country. Valley Health will soon be a distant memory from the past if it keeps hiring such poor Doctors like this wretched man to treat patients in a time of need.

My knee replacement has gone extremely well so far. The pains I had heard I would experience I have not had as of yet. I was impressed with how organized things went the day of the operation. I was given enough information as what should be expected before and after the replacement . I also like the daily follow up for reminders and concerns. I also had an emergency appointment created by me which was completed a lot quicker than I expected. I would definitely recommend Dr. Martenson and Winchester Orthopaedic

Dr. Martenson replaced a knee that had been previously damaged and did a great job. I'm in much better shape having had both knees replaced by this excellent surgeon. He will listen to your concerns and work with you. Highly recommend.

Dr. Martenson and his entire staff are wonderful and they're there with any questions I may have. Dr. Martenson is an excellent doctor and I would highly recommend him to anyone else needing a total knee replacement. He is very patient and knowledgeable. I plan to have him again when my right knee needs replacing. I highly recommend Dr. Martenson.

Dr Martenson is a wonderful physician. He explains the procedure and answers all questions very thoroughly. I highly recommend him and his professionalism. Earlier in the year my husband was under home health care and when his Physical Therapist, also a Occupational Therapist came I asked them for names of Orthopedic surgeons they would recommend. Dr Martenson was always stated. My Rheumatologist also said he highly recommended Dr Martenson. I am so happy for those recommendations. ??

I was assigned to this doctor after being struck by a car while crossing a street, but there was no healing going on with my fractures until I switched to another orthpedic surgeon. This doctor is a terrible communicator and has no bedside manner that one could detect. The support staff in his office has the same problem. I once sat in an examination room for 90 minutes and then had one of his assistants duck in to ask if I was waiting to see the doctor.

Arrogant, impatient, 45 minute wait with no apology, never smiles, appears to care more about expedience than about the individual. With that kind of exam room experience, why would one trust him to do surgery? Brilliance does not trump arrogance.

First appointment for knee issues. Dr Martenson was a no show. The office didn't know where he was. Rescheduled for the next day after walking out. He did show for this one. I agreed to have arthro surgery . . but was not very successful, although I was told there was no guarantee. After surgery, cortizone, gel shots the original symptoms remained. Scheduled a follow up after months of PT, Accupuncture, and pool, . . waited 45 unattended minutes in exam room and I walked out.
