Knowledgeable doctor and courteous staff!
Dr Sims is always willing to keep trying to resolve my Dad’s chronic back pain. He is patient and determined to bring some relief for his patients. His office staff is also friendly and helpful, they return calls and are great about following up and getting us on the schedule anytime needed. So thankful me, my Dad and now my Uncle have found such a great pain management facility!

I recently moved to the area from Dallas and needed a new pain management doctor. Dr Sims decided not to review the notes from my last pain management doctor and didn’t look at any of the records I brought with me. Instead, he tells me 4 other doctors got arrested recently for prescribing opioids and he won’t do it unless you have cancer. I then asked for aqua therapy and injections and he said he did that but then he kept going back to the fact he didn’t prescribe meds. Even after I confirmed with him that I understood this, and that I am still interested in aquatic therapy and injections, he kept going back to the fact he doesn’t prescribe meds. This was very frustrating to say the least and he ended up refunding my copay. If you don’t have cancer I suggest finding a different doctor.

I worked hard for a whole week trying to get into the new patient pain management. During that time I never went to his clinic, didn't manage to talk with anyone there above a nurse but I tried. My Dr. of many years in Conroe said over & over that they had faxed Dr. Simm's clinic my medical file and Dr. Simm's team continued to say they didn't get anything. Finally, I got a call from Brenda at the Simm's clinic and she acknowledged that they had just found the fax from my doctor. Agorogant, go bother somebody else, leave me alone, was how I would best describe Brenda (whoever she is). If you enjoy jumping through hoops then I wish you luck.

Dr. Sims has basically saved my life. Ive been seeing him since 2008 and like to think i have a good relationship with him and his staff. They're all very friedy. Dealing with chronic pain 24/7 and several spine and spinal cord problems, he has let me try out all kinds of surgical procedures and medical implants. Without him i think my pain and high blood pressure would've given me a stroke by now. He also does great surgical work and his anesthesia assistant Howard is awesome!
