My PCP sent me for a follow up br as in MRI, then called me to express strong concern. I was referred to Dr Donahue whon I had seen once before 3 yr ago. I received a call from Dr Donahues office that they would compare the two MRI's & get back to me. THat was 8 days ago. Zi have made many calls and left messages expressing my concern. What makes it bad is my primary doctor said they want me hin the hospital or this condition ciuld lead to death. It all feels crazy. I'm dealing with the Larry, Mo and Curly; the 3 stooges of Neurology. Wish I could give zero stars.

Engaging and competent. Answered all my questions
I was referred to Dr. Donahue by my primary care physician for suspected neuropathy in my lower legs and feet. My initial appointment was scheduled a couple of weeks later. Wait time in the office was minimal. I was first seen by his PA who was very competent. She ran some tests. Dr. Donahue reviewed the results and ran some other tests which indicated some abnormalities. He ordered an EMG follow-up. I found Dr. Donahue and his PA engaging and open to answering my questions on the tests they performed as well as the blood tests that my primary had ordered. The EMG was scheduled for a couple of weeks later. Alex, his tech, conducted the first part of the test which involves electrodes. It is not a lot of fun but she was very sweet about it and checked often to make sure I was tolerating the electric shocks. Dr. Donahue then came in, reviewed the results with Alex and then conducted the needle part of the test. He was very personable and explained the test in detail.

Untrustworthy
Saw me once & turned it over to his PA; learned later they never received/reviewed previous medical records! They use an agency in San Diego, CA for their own medical records that is extremely slow/lame. One of the WORST neurological practices I've come across in decades! Stay away & find someone else, it may save your life and will certainly save you money! This practice doesn't care at all about patients!!! Beware!

A doctor's knowledge is not always correct
Dr. donahue treated me differently than the previous 2 doctors who had been treating for almost 8 years so I questioned him about it. He must have felt I knew more than he did about medical procedures but I don't. What I do know is how 2 doctors treated me and I had no problems with their treatment, with Dr. donahue I did. So I told him so. 30 days later he dropped me as a patient.

Dr. Donahue is without a doubt the best physician I’ve ever encountered as a patient or a nurse. My sister was blessed to come into his care through a hospital consult and I totally credit her ability to have achieved the recovery that she has to Dr. Donahue. Her most recent visit to him was lengthy and he never seemed in a rush, he eagerly answered all her questions, made her feel comfortable when she had personal issues to discuss, and I can’t even begin to fully express how kind this man is! He is a doctor that anyone would want for their family. Shelby is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and takes ample time with the patient. The entire office staff is friendly and seem to strive to make you comfortable and make your appointment go smoothly. Again, I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Donahue. I am so thankful that God placed him in my sister’s life! I don’t think she’d have come nearly as far as she has had it not been for his intervention in her healthcare.
