Dr. Stephen Brandstetter, MD

I was very sick, he worked me though it, with 3 different surgeries, all of which we very successful!

Dr. Brandstetter is an excellent surgeon and wonderful person

Last year I left the ER at Akron General Hospital and was informed for the very first time that I had a pre-sacral mass. The resident that saw me informed me that he was told by the radiologist that, "it didn't look good." I wasn't given any options for follow up care. My husband and I left the ER that night in complete shock!!! Thank God, a family member told my husband about Dr. Brandstetter! The entire time that I was under Dr. Brandstetter's care I was treated with kindness, compassion, and respect. He and his office staff moved with urgency to have an outpatient visit set up for me to attempt to locate my mass and determine the size of the mass. He was unable to do the surgery, however, he quickly referred me to another surgeon at Cleveland Clinic. In my opinion, Dr. Brandstetter is exceptional and very knowledgeable in his field. Although, I was under his care for a brief time, I had exceptional care. BRB

I've seen Dr. Brandstetter twice, and both times he was everything one would hope for in a doctor. He listened well, he explained clearly -- both before and during -- my outpatient procedures, and he responded quickly to follow-up questions. And critically, he was extremely skilled at his job and successful in treating me.

I had an emergency gallbladder attack, Dr. Brandstetter was assigned to my case. He is a rude, arrogant, little man. He treated me like I had the plague. Why? I was overweight. He told me that I should have gastric bypass surgery and they could take my gallbladder out while they were in there. I had to ask that he be removed from my hospital room and to never return. He continued to hammer me with weight loss surgery, wouldn't answer my questions about my gallbladder and was just plain cruel. I wouldn't let him touch me if I was dying, now. Shame on CC for hiring such a person.
