Dr. Stephen Boyce, MD

I had my surgery on March 31 2010. I would do it again! He was a wonderful doctor that made you aware of everything before you had your surgery and afterwards as well. I would never suggest some one else. His products are the most complete, safe, and reliable on the market. I have used ONLY his products and never had a problem plus all my blood work comes back great. This gastric bypass was anew and early surgery for quick weight loss and I am glad I had it done. As of now I have gained some weight back which is normal and MY FAULT. I highly advise using his office because he was the BEST PIONEER OF ALL FOR THIS SURGERY!!!!

I liked him and I believed in him, but I have questions. My sleeve was 6-7 years ago, but in the last two years I’ve been sick everyday, no matter what I eat I get tremendous amounts of gas, I’m on my third Gastrointestinal Doctor I had a breath test and was positive for SIBO, which they think it’s related to the surgery, I would appreciate any help I have been sick every day “ nauseous “

He did my gastric bypass about 20 years ago and then done my gallbladder removal. Then I had another baby! But even today I am still 140 pounds!! The day of surgery I weighed 306!!!

My experience with Dr. Boyce was excellent. I wish I had kept up with the yearly visits, as he advised.

I have been a patient of Dr. Boyce's for about 15 years. He performed my gastric bypass initially and has been there every step of the way even when I was at a hospital he did not work at, he made sure someone he trusted was taking care of me. He has gone out of his way to be there if I had issues...he is truly a patient advocate. I have recommended him for years and will not stop.

I must say from Chasity at check in to Kristi and Kelly assistant and Megan NP and of course Dr Boyce I could not image a better Dr experience... Dr Boyce is the best in Knoxville ... with such concern and compassion for his patients and always has time to listen and explain ....

The staff was so warm and friendly and Dr. Stephen's was very personable and I trust him completely.

Dr. Stephen Boyce is the worst! He diagnosed me with acid reflux and h. Pylori but still chose the sleeve for me even though it makes acid reflux worse. I had no idea at the time because I was told I didnt have to finish the seminar when my internet connection went out. No one in his staff bothered to educate me on it even when I asked questions. I paid a $1500 program fee that paid for a years worth of appointments. He and his staff went behind my back and changed them all to phone appointments without consulting me and I wasnt allowed to change it. On top of that, I was administered too many IV antibiotics in the hospital and contacted c. Diff that made me sick. His staff yelled at me. He refused to see me. I now have to have a revision surgery because the complications he caused include chronic pneumonia from the acid getting into my lungs. If I dont have the revision surgery, I could die.

Too long to post yet another review . The lack of integrity is beyond anything I can comprehend!!

Meet with him twice and he was very kind

Dr Boyce treats me with kindness everytime I see him..I first met him almost 11 years ago and I see him at least twice a year.I would and I have recommended him to a lot of people thinking about weight loss surgery. He spends all the time I need with him, he answers all my questions and I trust the man with my life..The staff is great..Of course they are busy and don't always have time for idle chat, but they're always kind and helpful.I can't imagine going anywhere else..
