Knowledgeable, Patient and Kind
Dr. Barman is a very knowledgable and kind oncologist. He spent a lot of time with me and answered my questions thoroughly and patiently. He gives very detailed information and provides additional resources for patients to read to understand their options. He is a wonderful oncologist!

Dr Barman was uninterested in giving any opinion as to various anomalies on my face and back. He first said I should see a dermatologist. When I asked him, if, as an oncologist, he could look and determine if any of them was cancer, he did look and said none was cancerous. As it turns out, 10 months later, I was diagnosed with lymphoma, and four of the five anomalies which he examined are tumors. Months were lost which could have been used for effective treatment. I am currently in chemo treatment and will need radiation treatment on all four of the tumors. When I asked him any questions, he was very dismissive and preferred to put me down rather than answer my questions. Many times, when he did answer a question (which I had to repeatedly ask), he replied with sarcasm instead of answering the question. He does not have a professional, caring manner.
