Dr. Stephanie Wood, MD

Never met a doctor like Wood. She's always in a hurry and seems like she can't wait to leave. So glad she's no longer seeing patients and took an admin job. Her not practicing medicine anymore is probably best for the public.

Dr. Woods always listened to me and I feel like she really cares. I was never rushed and if I couldn't see her - the PA was amazing as well. I wish she hadn't left Sutter. She was my favorite Dr!

Dr. Wood is a top notch doctor! She has been such an amazing doctor to me and my parents. She is so knowledgeable, and caring. I absolutely love her! You are lucky if she accepts you as a patient, because you will receive excellent care from her and her staff.

She is kind but the problem exists when you have a condition that is outside of normal. I now know that I have Hyperadrenic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. She was my doctor when I developed this at 30. Now 32 and with a whole other health insurance provider. The condition brings on uncontrollable bouts of anxiety and a slew of horrible symptoms. Upon ordering standard blood work I was told that it was all normal and that is where she stopped looking into what's causing these issues. She immediately wrote me off as a mental health patient and told me to seek counseling, practice yoga and meditation. If you habe something wrong and your blood tests come back normal, switch doctors because she'll take your money and tell you to meditate rather than look into what could be causing your issues medically.

Unable to understand that I'm a individual. And can't figure out that I'm disabled. And need disabled parking. Only reason is other people abuse it I'm 70 and can't set stand or walk without being in pain . So much pain that I have to stop Often when I walk. I can't even go to the store because it is hard to find parking close. So I only go short distance to places that I know I can park close. I have had disabled parking for a long time and I need it so I can do things for my family.

Dr. Wood was fairly late to get to the Exam Room and apologized profusely (when do you hear a doctor apologize about anything?). She has a very good bedside manner. Does an excellent job of explaining things in an understandable way. Also, what really impressed me was her discussion about my cholesterol levels...instead of trying to peddle pharmaceuticals she recommended fish oil and some type of rice in addition to exercise. Very please with the visit..highly recommended.
