Do not expect any empathy from this doctor. The worst experience our daughter has ever had with a physician. Our daughter left there crying because she was treated so badly.

CANNOT GET IN TO BE SEEN WITHOUT 1ST HAVING TO TAKE A 2 HOUR CLASS ON HEADACHES!! SERIOUSLY, THOSE OF US THAT HAVE MIGRAINES COULD MOST LIKELY SCHOOL HER ON HEADACHES.. WE ARE NOT INTO BEING GUINEA PIGS FOR ADVANCING HER STUDIES IN HEADACHES OR NEUROLOGY! SCOTT AND WHITE NEEDS TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE TO CLASSES AND START HELPING PATIENTS.

Dr. Vertrees is knowledgeable and I enjoyed my visit there, but the $350 charge for an office visit (new patient) was more than I think is worth it for me. Because her office is part of Baylor Scott and White, they bill as if it is a hospital outpatient visit--check before going to avoid a surprise from your insurance company. "In network" doesn't always mean the same thing from doctor to doctor.

Average rating 1.0 stars out of 5Misdiagnosed and said it was psychiatric. Dr. Vertrees ran a few tests that have high false negative rates. The test itself said that a negative does not mean the absence of the disorder, but she took it as a true negative. She finally decided that a psychiatric evaluation was needed, which was passed. A year later, symptoms worsened, and finally, a doctor cared enough to find the answers. Thymoma related to Myasthenia Gravis, which she missed. Don’t go.

Provider was unwilling to make reasonable accommodations so that I could be seen as a patient. They require a mandatory "migraine class" for anyone wanting an appointment. I have a visual disability. I explained that I would need to bring my sister with me to the class and she would assist me with reading any text on the slides, while I listened and provided answers for the packet they wanted filled out. They said no. Unwilling to treat people like me with disabilities. Doctor should be ashamed.

Extremely disappointed in Round Rock, TX – Apr 11, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Vertrees?
Do not try to see her if you have seen any other Dr. In their office at any time. I waited for over a month for my appointment only to get a call the day of my appointment to let me know they don't like seeing anyone who has seen someone in their group before. If that is the case they should ask that when you make the appointment.
