I was in for an annual check and removal of actinic keratosis spots. I am a cash paying patient and inquired ahead of time to the cost of removal of such spots. I was told they would remove up to 15 for one set price. Dr. Smith-Phillips only froze 8, and 2 of those areas were not fully removed. When I inquired about getting the rest removed (the main ones that bothered me she did not even touch!) her nurse assistant, Sarah Louise, was extremely rude and raised her voice several times, telling me that I would have to pay again to get the others removed. I am in the medical field and would NEVER talked to one of our patients like she did to me...shameful! So much for honesty and good customer service. What a SCAM they have going on there! They are a medical mill, only interested in getting you in and getting your money...no concern for the customer's well being. Be warned!

I visited Dr. Smith Phillips as a young college student (1994). I was suffering from horrible cystic acne. I found her to be greatly professional. She eased my mind. SAVED my skin. Many moons later, I've moved back to SC after living in Seattle. Though I live in the Piedmont area, she is at the top of my list in contacting physicians in regards to my teenager's acne.

I saw Dr. Smith-Phillips TWICE this year. One for a full body check and back again to point out the places on my face that were there at the full body check that I had decided to do something about because my make up would not cover them. She looked at them and said "Oh these popped up since you last visit". They had not. She then said they were skin cancers and needed to be removed. I went to another Dr. not only did these ned to be removed but the found basil cell on my FACE and I need MOHS!
