Highly recommend
I have been a patient of Dr. Ho’s for the last year and a half and have found her very helpful. I read some of the comments about her “lack of warmth,” and must admit that was my initial impression of her. But as I’ve continued to see her, that has not been my experience at all. She is, as you get to know her, quite warm and caring. I just don’t think she is a naturally gregarious person, and that is ok. She is very knowledgeable and perceptive, and keeps up with developments in her field. I highly recommend her.

I've been seeing Dr. Stephanie Ho for 11 years; she's incredible. Attentive, smart, spot on, always available. She saved me after serious antepartum and postpartum anxiety when I was pregnant with my first child, and got me safely, healthfully, and happily through a second pregnancy. I have been seeing her ever since -- and recommend her fully.

I went to Dr Ho to adjust my meds for post partum depression. She was so lacking warmth and compassion that I have no idea why she chose a field that requires such. She is condescending, and treated me like I was an uneducated nitwit. I always arrived on time, but was routinely made to wait. Her office staff was rude and abrupt. After five visits and getting nowhere, I just stopped seeing her. The office never reached out to ask me why I was not continuing treatment. Absolutely, the worst experience with a medical professional. Dr Ho is that awful.

Dr. Ho might not unravel your entire unconscious while you sprawl out on a chaise (she does have a loveseat if you need to prop your feet up) because it seems doctors are moving away from this approach. She's vastly knowledgable, thoroughly addressing all of my concerns, AND she keeps up with with advancements in medicine. I value this far more than whether or not she's warm and compassionate. Of course, for me, she's always both, and I feel one hundred percent at ease when I enter her office.

Dr. Ho was short on temper, seemed rushed and uninterested, and was not at all compassionate. It is appalling that a psychiatrist could be so nasty.

Visiting Stephanie Ho was probably the worst decision I could have made at the time. I was feeling extremely vulnerable and she lacked any sort of compassion. She was condescending and did not communicate well with me. I didn't think it was possible to feel worse after seeing a Psychiatrist, but believe me it is. Her front desk staff are also just flat out RUDE. I would advise anyone seeking help to look elsewhere.

I first met Dr. Ho through a referral from our OB soon after my first child was born. My wife had postpartum depression and was not in a good place. I'm happy to say that my wife has made a full recovery. Dr. Ho's help was a miracle! Our family highly recommends her.

Dr. Ho was referred to me by my OB because I was experiencing a postpartum depression. I did not have any past experience with a psychiatrist. I was so nervous. She totally got that and I was comfortable with her by the end of our first meeting. I find her knowledgeable and a good listener. I feel that she is truly interested in helping me. She welcomes babies in the office - helpful because I don't have to find a sitter to see her. I'm feeling much better and am grateful to her.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Ho. I only saw her once but that was enough for me to decide I would not be seeing her again. She lacks compassion and seemed completely disengaged. If you are looking for a caring, kind and compassionate doctor, she's not it!

Not a generous person, elitist. Enormously expensive and hardly takes any insurance at all. Like so many in her field, she is out for self advancement and not to heal patients. Very sad.

Dr. Ho helped me through an incredibly difficult pregnancy, most definitely saving my life and my baby's life. And then, years later, I was able to have a healthy second pregnancy with her guidance. I have recommended her to friends, and she's helped them to. Dr. Ho is amazing at what she does.
