Dr. Stephanie Chin, MD

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by Dr. Chin and the billing department at GENESIS OBGYN following my wife’s recent delivery. My wife delivered our baby at TMC on September 2nd, but Dr. Chin did not attend the delivery, nor did she check on my wife afterward. We received a separate bill from TMC for the delivery services, yet we were also billed by GENESIS OBGYN for Dr. Chin’s services on the same day, despite her absence. Upon contacting the billing department at GENESIS, I was informed that we are responsible for the payment regardless of whether Dr. Chin provided any services. Additionally, we have been frustrated with Dr. Chin's punctuality during our appointments leading up the delivery, often waiting over an hour past our scheduled time. I feel compelled to share my experience to caution others seeking care at GENESIS OBGYN. I do not recommend their services based on our experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I began to see Dr. Chin at 36 weeks pregnant after an unexpected move from another state. She was fantastic! She's very personable and knowledgeable. I wish I had her for the entire pregnancy.

Dr. Chin and her medical assistant were so kind, welcoming and professional. Dr. Chin really listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I have been a patient of Dr. Chin for many years and can’t image going any where else.

Dr. Chin was the first doctor to diagnose a heart murmur for me during an annual visit years ago. She has a friendly and kind demeanor every visit! She is very knowledgeable and really cares. I highly recommend her!

Couldn't ask for a better doctor. Dr. Chin listens and cares.

Dr. Chin recommended a second more thorough ultrasound which revealed the problem and changed the diagnosis to something much less worrisome.

Dr. Chin is amazing. She is very patient centered.

Dr. Chin is always helpful and supportive...I have had issues and needed surgery...I appreciate her help and professional advice...She is multitalented...I was blessed to have her accept me as a patient since my OBGYN retired in Dec. 2020 with no warning...She is highly thought of in my primary office and recommended her to me...It worked out for me very well...Thank you...

She is very kind and experienced. She was there for me in my first pregnancy (16 years ago) an ectopic and another one!! Plus a uterine ablation! Always so wonderful and caring. I would not want to go anywhere else.

My visit with Dr. Chin on New Year's Eve was awesome. There was no wait time, and I saw Dr. Chin quickly. Her staff was professional and pleasant! It is always a pleasure to see Dr. Chin. She is friendly, professional, and answers all questions.

She does run very late. However, I have had my questions answered and I feel she spends time with me. It does take 3-4 months for an appointment. The imaging department gets a 1 star though...including the gal who checks you in.

Always late , all appointment with her have been over 30 minutes past my appointment time . Never an apology from staff . I had a miscarriage my appointment was at 3:30 I was not seen in till 5 o’clock all the staff including her were rushed to get home . No one give us the time of day or sympathy. We were seen bye Dr. Chin for less than five minutes . she treated us like a number . She allowed me the chance to ask questions . My opinion she is too overbooked and doesn’t Time.

ALWAYS late for schedule appointments. I would wait between 30 mins to an hour after scheduled to be seen by her. She seems very rush and it’s hard to ask her questions. She would schedule tests without telling me why.

Earliest appointment was three months out. Then staff cancelled my appointment and moved it out another four weeks. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for my scheduled appointment. Staff made no apology. When I brought it up the medical assistant's only comment was that the doctor always runs late.

I have changed physicians based on her diagnosis and response to my condition and questions as well as her PA's response to scheduling an urgent appointment.
