Knowledgeable and compassionate
Throughout my care he has always focused on me as a person first, not a diagnosis. He spent time getting to know me, my family and my life and used that information to structure treatment modalities and timetables that were effective for dealing with the cancer and allowed me to continue working.

Cold and incompetent
Had x-rays taken and did not look at them. There was a tumor present. He was replaced with a more competent oncologist. I would not recommend this guy for your doctor.

Dr Tarantolo is very patient and nonjudgmental towards new and old patients. I can’t imagine going through my journey without him. I never feel awkward asking any question pertaining to my cancer treatment. He has met both of my daughters and always ask how they are doing. I am from a family of 19 and he has met a number of them also. His characteristic personality helps put you at ease when facing a very scary situation. Thank you Dr Tarantolo and all the other doctors and nurses at NCC. They try to greet you by name; always with a big smile and want to hear how you are doing. I hate cancer (with a passion) and everyone there works hard to ease your frustration. You are in good hands if you are referred here.

Dr. T has treated my cancer for the past 3 1/2 years. Did a stem cell transplant in May of 2017. He is very thorough and explains what is going on. I feel that his expertise and professionalism is the reason I am here today and able to write this. Thanks Dr. T!!!!

Dr. Tarantolo has been amazing! When I first received my diagnosis, my world was completely shaken - he has been upfront with me every step of this journey and I trust him implicitly! Fantastic oncologist! Wish I didn't need to use his services (who wants cancer?) - but I do and he has been awesome!

Dr. Tarantolo is a excellent Doctor, he has been our doctor for more than 8 years. Our last appointment he came into the room and looked at my wife and asked her if she was feeling run down and constantly tired. My wife replied yes I am getting more tired more easily, Dr. Tarantolo stated that she needed a blood infusion due to her condition. After the infusion you could see the difference just like Dr. Tarantolo predicted, he is a outstanding Doctor Who cares and he is awesome with his patients

Dr. T is Amazing! He is a genius and is meticulous at making sure you have the proper treatment. He has a great bedside manner and is very easy to speak with. He works extremely hard and it wasn't uncommon to see him at 8:00 p.m. while I was in the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. T as well as several family friends he has cured from cancer. I was very fortunate to get him as I went to the ER thinking I had the flu but instead was admitted that day with Luekemia.

My father was diagnosed with leukemia and his bone marrow transplant and 17 years of surgeries and cancer treatment were administered by Dr. Tarantolo and the University of Nebraska Medical Center staff. Beyond being a specialist and excellent doctor that I highly recommend, Stefano Tarantolo is a compassionate and understanding human being. The bond he formed with my father will never be forgotten as it's people like Dr. Tarantolo that make this world a better place.

Dr Tarantolo is a wonderful doctor. He treated me for Hodgkins Disease from which I made a full recovery. Five years later I was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma. Where I would consider him an expert in blood cancers (Hodgkins) he is not in Cholangio. However I turned to him for assistance with this diagnosis and he has taken the challenge on. Cholangio has no cure yet but this man has done his due diligence in researching this rare cancer and is helping prolong my life.
