It was the worst ER experience of my life. He told me I was just going to be in pain and not be able to sleep until I saw gastro, and even then any procedures may make my GERD worse. I left feeling completely hopeless.

Dr. Hood doesn’t care
Dr. Hood shouldn’t be practicing ER medicine. He’s nothing more than an ER triage nurse at best and I respect nurses a lot more than I respect this arrogant individual. All of the poor reviews are true.

RUDE / ARROGANT / AWFUL
I went to Round Rock St David’s bc I had kidney stones. How did I know? I have had over 15 procedures. I always go here so they can see my chart and history. Since I asked by mane for the drug I needed I was told I look like a drug shopper. I guess bc I wasn’t screaming, he said it was dramatic enough. I said I needed a CT bc I had one scheduled w my urologist the following but couldn’t wait bc the PAIN. I knew I had at least 3 due to my X-ray. The CT showed more. I asked him and he said they where smaller then I said. I had - 9.5mm / 2- 5mm on left. 85mm and 5.5 mm on right. He didn’t tell me that. He said they where smaller then I said. My doctor did tell me. Wouldn’t not give me any more meds for the hospital or home. Spoke down to me and spent maybe 5 min w me. I have NEVER been treated like this. You CAN’T fake kidney stones!!!! I will NEVER except him as my Dr if I go back there.

Extremely rude! I am a healthcare worker myself, and have never met a more unhelpful and arrogant physician.

Dr. Hood asked questions but did not listen to answers. He was a little arrogant, and did not let me have any input on my care. They left me in the emergency room for very long periods without checking on me, and kept forgetting to give me pain med or water as they had promised. I had to yell out several times to someone - there was no buzzer or button. Dr. Hood never looked at my pupils or checked me for concussion although I hit my head hard and having headaches. He barely looked at my knee. He did tell me that X-rays showed dislocated L shoulder and broken R patella. My BP went over 200 and he did nothing to address but the EMT monitored and was very helpful. Dr. Hood sent me home because the hospital was full although I could not walk or get up or down. No good side to lift myself and excruciating pain. Seeing that Dr. Hood is not a hospital ER doctor explains his refusal to let me stay one night as he should have. I’ll never go to him or RR St. David’s again. Ever.

Dr Hood was excellent and I was so fortunate he was on call when I needed help. The Heart Hospital ER was very impressive. Dr Hood, the nurses, the medical technician, the staff were knowledgeable, efficient, and positive!

I have been in and out of the hospital for severe stomach pains, nausea, diarrhea, and ulcers. After my blood work came back, he told me I had Cannaboid Emetrios or something like that. He only prescribed me promethazine, which does squat for my issues. So today I went to Seton Southwest hospital and they actually did a CT scan. Which showed my colon intestines are infected and inflamed. So now I have the right medicine to treat it, and I wasnt talked down to like a child either.

I Never even met Dr. Hood, yet he prescribed me a narcotic pain reliever. Stated he was unable to find the cause of my pain even though I am on social security disability for a advanced spinal degenerative illness. Yet my history or medical records were never taken or reviewed. I was given a toradol shot and refused any other treatment. I was informed they did not do any imaging at this hospital, emergency post exposure prophylaxis for HIV and Hep exposure.
