In the beginning, very involved and exceptional.
Our beginning with the Dr, we were both very impressed. As time went on, we remained very hopeful. When he looked shocked, realizing the “break”he was giving my husband had turned in to 8 months, my confidence waned. My husband’s last week inpatient , when our PA called to get info, and Dr. Grant had NO knowledge that he was in the hospital and had been for a week, I lost it. I asked to speak to the Dr and he came down to his room. I let him know how upset I was and he told me he was in charge but had his team in place. What could he do, he asked me. I told him to let my husband know he was at the end of his life. He did, and my husband relaxed and let himself die in peace 2 days later. All the while, telling me it had not spread to his brain. But it had, I happened to see the MRI. Why lie to me? No answers. No confidence in his handling of the whole situation.
What went well
  • Staff friendliness
What could be improved
  • I didn't feel respected
