When I first got my diagnosis, I was really frightened, but Dr Mautner was kind, patient, reassuring and supportive. Dr. Mautner and her team followed me throughout the chemotherapy process and when it came time for surgery she once again took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the details of the procedure. I knew I was going into surgery with a skilled, compassionate and highly dedicated surgeon. After the surgery and upon my return home, Dr Mautner called me herself to see how I was feeling. I was so incredibly touched by her personal attention and call. I could not recommend a better surgeon. I am so grateful to Dr. Mautner and her team for their outstanding care.

During a vey scary time, Dr. Mautner was empathetic, and so reassuring. Her entire team is compassionate and so helpful. I did not feel rushed during my visit. She answered all of my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with my decisions. Cancer is scary, but Dr Mautner eased my fears. I highly recommend her.

I was treated with much compassion. & Dr Mautner explained everything that she was going to do. I needed to have a Lumpectomy. The Dr explained what she & her team would be doing during my surgery, & what to expect after procedure.Dr Mautner was extremely efficient with time of surgery, and every aspect of the whole experience with her. Dr Mautner’s team set me up with post op appointments. I have received many follow up calls checking to make sure I am doing well.I just had my one week post op appointment.I loved Dr Mautner. Her first name is Starr, & to me, her name suits her!!!!!

She also took the time to explain everything every step of the way so i was able to fully understand the process and my options and added a level of comfort that me and my family needed at the time. Dr. Mautner was very professional, caring, encouraging and helpful. She was always available to answer any and all of my concerns. During and after surgery, she explained what to expect and followed through with concerns about my well being. Dr. Mautner is a gem. After my BRCA-1 diagnosis, she listened, guided, and has continued to be a great sounding board 2 years post-op. She is professional (up on her research), practical, and most of all, caring.

Dr. Mautner was very thorough in explaining why she was recommending the course of treatment and what the procedure entailed. When I informed her that I had a hysterectomy scheduled in a few months and wouldn't have time to schedule the procedure until next year, she offered to coordinate with my surgeon to do her procedure on the same day to make things easier for me.
