I was a patient of Dr. Ofori’s for a number of years. I chose him because he was an internist & his office was convenient. I had undergone two surgeries on my spine & had an artificial ankle. Over the course of my visits I came to feel he lacked empathy and he talked to me in a condescending and at times in a scolding tone. Overall I didn’t feel as if he really understood my condition based on the questions he asked me. He never missed an opportunity to prescribe pills for every type of perceived illness as any true disciple of the AMA would do. I also felt that my visits were one of many he had resulting in a rushed manner as if I was merely another billable source of income. As a person who already had a healthy distrust of our current medical system, Dr. Ofori certainly didn’t change my attitude.

Dr. Ofori is a pill pusher
I went to Dr. Ofori because of some back pain that I had. At first it seemed like he understood my issue and he ordered an xray. I told him that I really wanted an MRI to understand what the issue was and he help to schedule the MRI. Later in the appointment, he tried to convince me to take pain pills. I told him that they weren't for me. He got upset that I didn't take the pills and then a few days later he canceled my MRI. He didn't even take the time to call me to explain why the MRI was canceled. I don't understand why he did not call me himself. I'm very frustrated by my experience with him.

Dr. Ofori provides good patient care. We were referred to his practice by a VA Cardiologist that had worked with him in the past. He listens to our health concerns and explains things so that I can understand them.

Dr. Ofori is always pleasant, he can be funny and make me laugh, but the visit is not rushed, all bases are covered, and most questions get addressed. Does not order excessive tests or meds if they are not necessary

I have been a patient of Dr. Ofori for several years. I always feel that he is genuinely interested in helping me with my various health issues. He is always willing to take the time to listen to my point of view. Having been in my body for 76 years, I appreciate this. He is thorough and I don't have to wait for weeks to see him. His office staff is completely outstanding, kind and compassiounate.

Bad experience He kept showing me my blood tests and telling me I didn't feel sick. He wouldn't write refills on meds that I have been taking per instructions of specialists and spent a lot of time talking CHA.
