Dr. Stanley Cohen, DO

My daughter was being seen by the Nurse Practitioner at Dr. Cohen’s practice. She missed an appointment and ran out of antidepressants. She called to make an appointment. The soonest she could be seen was 9 days out. She asked the receptionist if a refill could be sent in so that she would not goThe next 8 days were horrible, physically and mentally. When she saw the physician, he verified that he did not know she had run out of meds. He called in a new prescription, and told her to make an appointment for 1 month. called right back, and the receptionist didn’t answer the phone. She tried several times, and finally left an angry (and admittedly inappropriate) message. We later found out that she purposely ignored her calls. The physician finally called her back after the office had closed and told her that she could no longer be seen in their office, due to the message and multiple calls. Not sure what they expected. The behavior of this practice is dangerous and irresponsible.

Unbelievable that a reputable dr would not even have the courtesy to return a phone call or email

Excellent doctor but the worst office staff. Shannon is rude and unprofessional. Actually yelled at me for calling and hung up on me. I am switching doctors after 5 years which is a shame Bc I really have come to love Dr. Cohen.

My children and I have been seeing Dr. Cohen since 2001. He is caring and very conscientious. He takes the time he needs to with a patient and never rushes them out. His office staff is always helpful and courteous. I would and have recommended friends and family members to Dr. Cohen before. Dr. Cohen is an excellent psychiatrist and will work with each patient until he can find the proper therapy for each patient.
