Avoid at all costs
Stanca decided she had done enough testing on me and determined it therefor my fault. She called a Psych, never afforded me a Psych eval. Hung, without a trial by jury. Fast forward, and I have a very serious genetic immune deficiency and an infection - none of which, were ever my fault.

I would not recommend her
In June, I was trying to get a suspicious spot looked at in person. Instead, I had to send in photos. Dr. Birlea indicated that she did not see any evidence of cancer and I could wait until my next regularly scheduled appointment. I attended my regular appointment with a different Dermatologist in August and lo and behold, biopsy and ...Cancer. I could have gotten a 2 month start on treatment!

We engaged Dr Birlea for several treatments in late 2017/early 2018, after her office confirmed that our insurance provider would cover the course of treatment. It wasn't until several thousand dollars were spent did we discover that our insurance company was not contacted prior to the treatment and does not cover it. There was no response from her office after numerous calls to understand how they confirm insurance coverage and what proof they have that any action was taken to confirm coverage.
