Knowledgeable & compassionate TN Metaplastic BC
I traveled to MDA from the Midwest, specifically for a second opinion and stayed 7 months for treatment. Dr. Moulder’s well trained clinical team guided me thru Triple Negative Metaplastic Breast Cancer treatment up thru the hand off for my surgery. After recovery, I came every 6 months to see her and she continued to follow me from afar for 5 years and still will return my emails. Dr. Moulder definitely cares about her patients! For those of you who may get caught up in the scheduling process, I would encourage you to be patient and follow up. MDA is a BIG and SPECIAL place, be your own or your family member’s advocate. Once you get registered and get your appointment, it goes pretty fast. I thank the Lord every day for the care that not only Dr. Moulder gave me but everyone there at MD Anderson.

Dr Moulder is the worst Oncologist. She should be terminated from MD Anderson and should be in prison for the care she provided to my mom. We went to her because we thought we would be in good hands. Her delaying care to my mother due to low platelets counts resulted in serious harm and likely ultimate death of my mother. We had to switch to a new facility to learn that the care she provided was criminal in nature.

I am a breast surgeon trying to schedule a visit for my asymptomatic wife who is newly diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer that is widely metastatic. She has been seen at Dana Farber and the NIH with inquiries to U Washington in Seattle and the Nagourney Institute in California. The process at MD Anderson was terribly impersonal with distressing ill-informed phone calls from a patient coordinator asking about brain biopsies on MRI findings that haven't been seen by anyone there and are not felt to be suspicious by anyone local to us, including neurosurgery. Unlike all other institutions, I was denied the opportunity to speak with any physician, and my wife's appointment was cancelled. It is the only institution that insisted on a personal visit, even though it is unclear whether they have anything novel to offer, she has no physical findings or symptoms that have any baring on the choices ahead, and we are over 2,000 miles away. Not a good experience. Not a good process.
