Dr. Stacia Groovermaltby, MD

I had a high heart calcium score, she did not know it should be treated with statins. I went for years without being treated, until another doctor did know, which probably saved my life. I would not take my worst enemy to this woman.

Anytime I have gone to see her, she has been rude, dismissive, and hurried. She acts like she is bothered having to hear what issues you have. She is dismissive of your concerns. She refuses to fill maintenance medication that I've been on for years unless I come in to see her, which is expensive when you don't have insurance. I had explained multiple times that I don't have the money for a visit, because I had lost my insurance. She let a patient suffer without their medication, just because she wants to make money from an office visit. I don't have a lot of money. I have no insurance at this time. She has no compassion for any of that. I will have insurance on Dec 1st, but I will be seeing another doctor at that time due to in-network restrictions. I asked for 1 month's supply of 3 medication that are for diabetes and mental health, but she refused even that. SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT PATIENTS!!!

After a few years of visits with Dr. Groover/Maltby for myself and daughters I decided I would never return and I would never recommend her and would steer anyone away from her especially if you're dealing with anxiety issues. At the last visit, I had taken my daughter to see her, my daughter was having severe anxiety issues and was emotional when trying to explain what she was experiencing, Dr. Groover/Maltby using her hands in a rolling motion, told my daughter she needed to speed it up!!!! My jaw dropped, I couldn't believe her!!! I wished now that I had snapped on her, instead I chose to behave like an adult, I've regretted it every since. I just want people to be aware of what kind of Dr. she is, I'd look elsewhere!!!!!

Let me start this off by saying both my mother and I have had Dr. Groover Maltby for several years. She doesn't seem to listen to your concerns and instead tries to steer things in a different direction than what you came in for. She is very repetitive and will talk over you and trivialize your feelings/concerns making the appointment feel very rushed like she has better things to do. Every time I visit I leave dissatisfied asking myself why I haven't looked for a new doctor sooner.
