Dr. Srisawai Pattamakom, MD

I began seeing Dr. Pattamakon a few months ago, and after each visit I found myself with questions or concerns that weren't properly addressed because Dr. Pattamakon was not a good listener and always rushed through the office visit- which was always very short. Although I was scheduled to have a surgery performed by Dr. Pattamakon she never physically examined me, and I don't know what to think of that as a patient after several visits. My medications were ineffective with undesirable side effects yet I was encouraged to keep taking them. I noticed that my blood pressure had been unusually high the past 3 visits, and it was not addressed by Dr. Pattamakon. She made excuses for lack of communication instead of taking accountability and did not appear to like that I had questions for her as my surgeon. Initially I canceled surgery because she was not addressing obvious issues and that frightened me. Ultimately she canceled the surgery again citing what I pointed out to her.

Dr Pattamakom Is always friendly and professional and I feel very comfortable asking her questions. She calls me personally to give results and even saw me when I made a mistake on the day of my annual appointment.

My experience with Dr. Pattamakom’s office over the past year has not been a pleasant one. I experienced bleeding from my breast in December 2019. I was sent for a mammogram and an ultrasound. They recommended a breast MRI in 2019 and I never knew that was recommended until I returned for a repeat mammogram in 2020 and they told me. My care was delayed for an entire year because she never informed me of my results. I called her office and she never returned my call for a week. I finally received a referral from her NP but Dr. Pattamakom still never called me. I ended up needing a biopsy as a result of the MRI. The biopsy recommended an excision of the mass in by breast and a full biopsy of the mass. Dr. Pattamakom never told me of those recommendations, instead she just left a message on my voicemail that said "no cancer." I am lucky that I investigated further or I would never have known those results like the MRI.

I switched from my previous Dr as I felt they were ready to retire and did the minimal and hurried me out every time. I heard about Dr. Pattamakom from a friend and I’m so happy I found her. She took time with me and didn’t rush me. She had novel ideas about what could be causing my issues and didn’t hesitate to take action.

Very dismissive about my concerns and only provided thinly veiled attempts at gaslighting me. Had me sign a release form for a procedure and then proceeded to not tell me the risks or the expected recovery/home care which left me in extreme pain.

I made two appointments and they canceled both. Decided to go to someone who will actually see me.
