I had a sleep study done because I went ten days without sleep anlso having episodes of sleep walking and eating and wanted to rule out sleep apnea as well as somnambulism, and sleep movement disorders. Unfortunately I was on a lot of meds that interfere with the validity of the test results. But it showed that I had a severe sleep onset insomnia in spite of all the medications. Upon this finding the Doctor offered no help besides see a psychiatrist.If they don’t know what’s wrong they call you crazy and say they can’t help you. He made no offer to help with better sleep medications available to him. Typical medical doctor arrogance. Later my neurologist would end up referring me again to the same doctor, but I decided not to follow up becuase of how uninterested he was in my case. No curiosity as to what would cause someone not to sleep for ten days in a row in spite of good sleep hygiene.
