Dr. Spencer Hoostal, MD

Dr. Hoostal is the newest member of Hillcrest Internal Medicine. Luckily he is currently accepting new patients in a very busy practice. I have had several primary care physicians over the years, but can say with the utmost confidence that Dr. Hoostal stands out, not only because he is extremely professional but because he also really cares about my health and wellbeing. He responds promptly to messages often with personal phone calls, asks the right questions and provides the correct treatment. I feel so lucky that when I was looking for a new primary care doctor I found Doctor Hoostal. I highly recommend him to anyone new to San Diego or, like me, looking for a new primary care doctor. He is one in a million!!

Dr. Hoostal takes the time to listen, appointments are not rushed, and he addresses each concern with solid advice. His recommendations take into consideration lifestyle, diet, family history, and overall health. He sees the bigger picture. Scheduled visits are a breeze with minimal wait times. Communication through the patient portal is fast and staff respond quickly. Often times unscheduled appointments are accommodated the same day. As part of the Scripps network Dr. Hoostal has access to many different specialties and is happy to make referrals. He personally responds to diagnostic tests and laboratory results and explains what they mean in simple clear terms. I genuinely hope Dr. Hoostal is able to build his practice in San Diego and stays here. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.
